All her friends gathered around Jensi, comforting him. "I am really good at levitation and telekinesis. I can also blink for a long time. And my last meal was five days ago and I am STILL not hungry. I also can channel more than any elf. Look!" he said, brightening up a little. He levitated the mallowmelt and it disappeared. Seconds later, it reappeared, good as new. Somehow he combined blinking and levitation.

"Cool!" Dex said, energetically. "Wait, remember when I made you that Telepath gadget that enhances Telepaths?" he said, asking Sophie.

"Before Fintan's healing?" Sophie replied.

"Yeah...that one." Dex's energetic smile faded.

Sophie knew he must've been thinking about the day Everblaze tore through Eternalia, burning precious buildings.

Ending lives.

She hoped the matchmaker's building was burned down. A symbol of how matchmaking could lead to scorn and judgment. It was an old system that brought many cases to Tribunal Hall.

WHY WOULD MATCHMAKING BE IMPORTANT IF THE MATCHMAKERS CAN'T EVEN GUARANTEE WHETHER THE CHILD WOULD MANIFEST? Sophie thought.

She applied for matchmaking once, thinking Fitz would be on her list.

She was wrong. Her biological mother and father were unknown, and therefore she was unmatchable. Even Glimmer's (or Rayni Aria) family was torn apart because of matchmaking. That struck a thought. Rayna Aria had something to do with Elysian. She was FRIENDS with her. When Sophie was seeking Elysian, Rayni Aria should've told her she knew Elysian or that Elysian was even a person!

"Ahem," Dex said, snapping her out of her mental rage-fest.

"We need to go see Rayni. Right now." Sophie said. They went to the Leapmaster 500 in Everglen.

"Does anyone know where Rayni lives?" Sophie asked, pointedly to Tam.

"She wanted to go back to Mysterium, where she hid before." he said quietly.

"MYSTERIUM!" Sophie and her friends yelled.

Suddenly, they were at Mysterium, people scattering backward from

Sophie's group. While they were walking to Glimmer's house, Sophie said, "Why not make a name for our group? That includes you, Jensi! Team Valiant was a total fail."

"How about Team Sparkles?!" Biana asked cheerfully.

"Uh... how about Team Techno?" Dex asked, blushing with embarrassment. "I like Team Techno," Maruca chimed in. Marella agreed. "I guess we're Team Techno!" Sophie said, liking the name.

Sophie glanced at Keefe, who didn't look very good. His eyes were sunken, and the mischievous glint in his eyes was gone. His skin was terribly pale. Sophie was worried. She put her arm around his neck and whispered, "Are you okay?" He was starting to cry.

"I'm sorry, Soph. It's just... hard to accept. So many things... changed. I hate my mom, but it just hurts me to see her bound and gagged... it makes me feel like we're as bad as the Neverseen. Why do I feel like this, Soph? WHY DO I FEEL LIKE THIS?!" Keefe bawled.

"I felt the same way when Alvar came. He... felt so broken and weak. I didn't think it was right to be so... hard on him." Sophie said, reminiscing. Keefe's head sat on Sophie's shoulder, the entire time. Sophie just hoped that Keefe would return to Keefe, the old one. The one who always joked and pranked Dame Alina in almost every hallway in Foxfire. She missed the old Keefe SO much.

They had reached Rayni's house, 206 Lettan Street. Sophie made a mental note to get a crystal to get here. Her legs ached from walking five miles plus some running from an editor of the Mysterium newspaper.

Biana was the scout; she would sneak in and send a message to Sophie. First, Sophie created a mental conversation as Biana ran to scout. A few seconds later Biana's voice rang in her head, All clear! Sophie did the come signal with her hand as she discreetly swept across the lawn like wind. Marella and Maruca came with her. Sophie found a locked window and levitated herself, Marella, and Maruca to it.

Marella torched the window off and Maruca trapped the window in a force field so it wouldn't make any noise while falling. They snuck in and saw cameras dotting the room. Marella burned all of them and they snuck into Glimmer's room. Maruca busted in first and trapped Glimmer in a force field. Marella ran in, fiery daggers in her hand. Then Sophie came in blazing with red lightning bolts of inflicting.

"WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!?!?!!!!!!" Glimmer roared. Suddenly, the entirety of Team Techno jumped in, ready for attack.

"Wow! That was SO fun!!!!!! Can we do this again soon?" Jensi asked, clearly excited.

"Why didn't you tell us that you were friends with Elysian?" Sophie asked angrily.

Glimmer's face turned pale. "I... That was a long time ago and I chose to forget it." Glimmer turned away.

"And anyway, It didn't matter anymore. Can you lower the force field now?" The force field sputtered and vanished. "We have Elysian with us. And Gisela." Sophie said in triumph. Glimmer turned paler at Elysian's name. "Can I see her?" Glimmer asked tentatively.

"Sure." Team Techno echoed.

Sophie held up her crystal to the light and they leaped to Everglen, no longer around the safety of their luminescent gate ever since an illegal troll hive was spotted on the property...Alden opened the gate and brought them to a room on the fourth floor.

Glimmer gasped in surprise when she saw Elysian.

Elysian's eyes widened.

For a second, nothing happened.

Then, suddenly, a flash of light blasted from Glimmer's hand. Elysian leaped out of the way and created the same rainbow-exploding shield. Glimmer's light was absorbed and a constant beam of blinding light from the rainbow shield sped towards Glimmer. Glimmer was thrown backwards, but she quickly regained her footing. All of a sudden, Glimmer was levitated to the wall, smashing into it with tons of force. Elysian brought up her hands and ice spread on the wall, covering and pinning Glimmer's arms, hands, legs, and feet. Sophie inhaled sharply.WAS ELYSIAN A FROSTER, TOO?!

Sophie couldn't believe it. Having two abilities was super rare.

Glimmer thrashed and fought but didn't go anywhere.

"Why did you attack me?!" Elysian yelled, tears dripping down her eyes.

"YOU LEFT ME!" Glimmer shouted, her eyes flaring with anger.

"I WAS ALONE!!!" Glimmer said, tears glistening on her cheeks.

It didn't take an Empath to feel the waves of regret wafting off Elysian. "I... had to go. "

"Go WHERE?!" Glimmer, Rayni, burst out. "Don't make me angry, Aurora."

"AURORA?!" Team Techno shrieked, looking at Elysian wide-eyed.

"It's her code name." Rayni explained, still glaring daggers at Elysian.

"I always loved the Forbidden Cities for their 'aurora borealis'. Rayni was the one who started calling me Aurora. Of course, I won't tell you my real name." Elysian explained. "YET." she said, once she noticed Wylie's disgusted look. She pulled her hood down lower.

"How do we know we can trust you?" Linh asked, a furious tone as she glanced at her brother, who was looking down. At the floor.

"You just have to." Elysian said, with a look at Jensi that had him lurching back.

"You're starting to sound like Fintan, you know." Marella smirked when Elysian's reply came.

"How do you know Fintan?"

"He's my mentor." Marella replied.

"In?" Elysian pushed.

"Nothing you need to be concerned about." Marella ended the conversation.

Sophie left Glimmer and Elysian in their little showdown, each furious at each other.

Team Techno walked down the hall silently, the only sound coming from their footsteps, until they reached the vortinator. They whisked down to the second floor, the meeting hall.
