Melody's POV
"I had hoped that my growing expertise on the subject would remain purely academic, but though faint, this is clearly a Dark Energon signature, and it's moving fast," Ratchet said as the rest of us approached the monitor.
"Well, this is just fantastic!" Sari exclaimed, throwing her servos up in the air. "Last time I was exposed to the stuff, I got a killer headache!"
"Megatron," Optimus said.
"Where'd he find more of the bad stuff?" Bulkhead asked. "And what's he gonna do with it, recruit a new army of the undead?"
"Zombiecons?" I asked, looking up from my drawing of the bots.
"Terrorcons, Mel," Sari corrected me.
"We cannot rule out the possibility, especially since Megatron seems to be heading to a familiar site," Ratchet said, indicating that the Dark Energon was being traced to the location of Skyquake's grave.
"Megatron has barely emerged from stasis, and it seems he's already making up for lost time," Optimus said. "Bulkhead, Bumblebee, Sari, Ratchet, prepare to roll out."
"That's my cue," Sari said as she hopped down from the catwalk, spreading her wings to slow her descent. She then transformed into her bot mode. "Wish me luck, sweetspark."
"Me?" Ratchet asked.
"If we are dealing with dark Energon, I may well require your expertise," Optimus told him. "Arcee?"
"Bridge operator," the femme said. "Got it."
"Go get 'em Bulkhead," I said as the bots walked through the Bridge. "Bring the hurt! You too, Sari."
"That's not like Melody to not want to go," I heard Jack say.
"She's definitely up to something," Raf added. That's when I made my move, making my way towards the Bridge. However, Jack and Raf managed to catch up to me, Jack grabbing my arm.
"It's not safe!" he said.
"I am not gonna miss my first Zombiecon throwdown!" I argued, wrenching my wrist out of his grasp and running through the bridge.
"Miko!" Jack called out.
Sari's POV
"That's not Megatron," Bulkhead said what we were all thinking.
"Rise, Skyquake!" Starscream exclaimed. "Rise!"
"Starscream!" Optimus said as we approached the Air Commander.
"Autobots!" Starscream responded.
"Stand down," the Prime ordered.
"You stand down!" Starscream fired a missile, but I was able to deflect it with my wings. "You cannot harm me while Dark Energon flows through my veins!" Optimus responded by shooting Starscream's arm off.
"You clipped his wing," Bulkhead said. "He's grounded."
"Come on. Come on! Rise already!" Starscream said. "This is Commander Starscream requesting an emergency GroundBridge to my coordinates."
"Ugh, I can't believe you made me lose my phone!" I looked behind me, and, sure enough, Melody and the two humans were on a ledge.
"Mellie," I said to myself. "Not again."
"Uh, h-how is this my fault?" Jack asked her.
"Oh, no," Ratchet said.
"Base to Optimus," Arcee chimed in over the comms. "The kids are missing."
