KAREN: Let Me Down Easy was the first song Daisy and Billy truly wrote together... Daph too, she filled in their blanks.

WARREN: Still one of my favorites.

EDDIE: We ran through it a couple of times.

KAREN: I remember having this feeling like... nothing would ever be the same again.

GRAHAM: It was just a really great day.

——

Oh won't you let me down, let me down,
let me down easy if you're
gonna let me down

if you're gonna let me down,
let me down easy if you're
gonna let me down

——

DAISY: [Looks at the floor] Daph and Billy practically flew into a hug when we finished. Magnets.

DAPHNE: I felt Graham's eyes burn my soul.

DAISY: We must've written 8 or 9 songs in first couple of weeks. I would have an idea and then he'd flesh it out or he would come up with a riff and I'd come up with a melody line. Daph balanced it all out.

Him and Daphne had probably 3 or 4 on top of that seperate to when the three of us wrote, I mean... we had a selection.

BILLY: When you're making an album, any album, it's an intimate thing. I mean, it has to be.

DAPHNE: Of course we all fought.

BILLY: Oh we were fighting, constantly.

DAISY: The further we got in to writing, Daph got more headstrong and Billy got more overbearing.

DAPHNE: Daisy wanted it her way or the highway. I willingly chose her way like 13% of the time.

DAISY: [Laughs] It was probably the best experience I had writing. Yelling and all!

WARREN: For a month it would be like that... we'd be in the studio y'know recording the arrangements and they'd be who knows where doing God knows what.

[Sips beer] Daisy would strut in with half the lyrics, the other half with Billy and Daphne when they'd show up.

EDDIE: Eveyday they'd come in with something new.

KAREN: I mean, great fucking songs.

EDDIE: And everynight, Daph and Billy would come in laughing like two little schoolgirls.
