JULIA: So, what happened right after the concert?
DAPHNE: Billy was gone, completely. That was the first thing I noticed walking off the stage. Graham was the first to talk to me, he said, "What the hell is going on?"
The band were in a complete state of panic, and not one thinking about rectifying this no. This was a state of panic that this was how we'd all say goodbye. That it had to end like this.
GRAHAM: She looked at me blankly, an almost lost look in her eyes. Daphne was... she looked like she was just gone. Not a thought pulsing through her head. And this was polar opposite to how she'd been literally seconds ago.
[Shakes head] I never truly knew what went on, even Billy wouldn't really talk about it when I asked him years later. I just... You could tell neither of them were going to get their happy ending. That's not to say either of them had a bad life. That's not it at all.
I just think there was a path where they went on and made the greatest hits, they became music legends together.
WARREN: Man, I saw the life drain from her. Her team were popping bubbly, cheering, telling her she kicked ass ahead of the storm that we didn't know was coming. She just nodded or she put on a smile or she just, she just stood there.
TYLER: I had never seen Daphne so quiet. I believe a part of her died that night, as dramatic as it sounds. She just never trusted people the same, y'know?
KAREN: I feel like everyone knew or could at least dot the lines of what happened. I wouldn't blame it for ending the band, I think we were all falling apart on our own.
DAISY: I really liked this family. I wanted this family, some good things just don't last. And that's okay.
ROD: I realised very quickly Billy hadn't actually left, that this man listened to her from the stadium halls. He had slid down a wall, I remember it so clearly seeing his head buried into his hands.
He told me about the article, told me he'd fallen in love with Daphne. Now, the latter I knew. Maybe if he hadn't told me what he'd done to her, I wouldn't have wanted to punch him and I wouldn't have told him to leave.
That's too polite, I told him to get the fuck out of there.
[Shrugs] I don't really think it counts for anything. Yeah, he stayed. Maybe he thought she'd run after him, again. I told him he'd be doing her a favor if he stayed out of her life.
I stand by it. How could you love someone and do that?
DAPHNE: Andrea wrapped me in a hug, she told me I did the best I could've under the circumstances respective to my feelings but about my performance? She said I blew her expectations out of the water.
Rod pulled me aside from the madness, I didn't know where he went... It was chaos. I just remember him saying, "Do you know what you're doing, kiddo?"
