It's Sunday. But it's not just any Sunday. It's the Sunday that I'm reuniting with my friends. It's almost noon, and eighty degrees out. I put on a pair of light-colored, high-waisted jean shorts, and a maroon cropped t-shirt with gold studs on the sleeves. I put on my flip-flops, and go downstairs to pack a picnic basket. I get the basket, and put some bread, turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and some chips and water bottles, and a blanket.

I walk into the park and sit down right in the center of it. The grass is so green, and the breeze is so nice. Everything is so peaceful. I see a white Mercedes truck pull up. That's Aunt Caroline's car. All of my friends pour out of it, Cassie, Juliet, Ariel, Topaz, Lucinda and Lydia. We run up to each other hugging, and jumping up and down, and laughing and just absorbing all of the happiness surrounding us.

We all sit down and eat our sandwiches, and I tell them all about Imogen and the prison world, and they tell me all about the worry and anxiety they felt when I left. Out of the corner of my eye, I see someone walking toward us. It's Imogen!

"Hey!" I say getting up and going toward her.

"Hello," She says.

"Oh! Guys, this is Imogen," I say introducing her to everyone.

"Hi," she says, waving.

"Hey," everyone says.

"Sit down," says Ariel, pointing to an open spot on the blanket.

We both sit down, and we all laugh and tell stories, and are just being teenagers. Imogen looks like she's having a good time, which makes me happy. She seems like she's getting most of her sanity back. She's probably never eaten a sandwich before, so she was just looking at it, confusedly.

I chuckle and say, "You bite it, like this," I say, taking a bite of my sandwich.

"Oh, okay," she says, laughing and taking a bite of her sandwich. She nods, signifying that she thinks it's good. All my friends are smiling, and look like they aren't judging, which is good. They know that she's been trapped in the prison world for over 150 years, but I'm happy they aren't judging.

After a few hours, we share our goodbyes, and everyone leaves, including Imogen. I call Lukas, and tell him to meet me at the park. He arrives around five minutes later. He gives me a big hug (He's a really good hugger!)

"I can't believe you're really here," he says smiling, "When your cousin Juliet said that you were banished to a prison world..." he says.

"I know," I say, "But I'm here now." I lean in, and kiss him. I think I maybe caught him by surprise a little, but I don't care. I let go and smile. We kiss again, and then just walk around the park, holding hands. He walks me home and then my parents and I go out for dinner.

As we're walking along the sidewalk, I see... Moira! She looks like she hasn't slept in days, and honestly, is a mess. She slows down when she walks passed me. I give her a nod, and she gives me one back. I keep walking and we have an amazing dinner. We get home, and I lie down on my bed, and think. I'm a f Cuatrabrid, and I've barely had time to test out my new abilities.

I walk into my bathroom, and start running a bath. Once it's filled, I hop in. My legs start to stick together, and my tail is forming. I laugh as shells start forming on my breasts, and my tail is fully formed. I splash around in the water and laugh. My tail is a turquoise-blue color, and my shell bra is the same color.

Mom knocks on the door, and said,

"Ev, you okay? I heard noises," Mom asks.

"Yeah, yeah come in," I says, laughing.

She walks in, and widens her eyes, "Wow," she says chuckling, "Oh my God, I can't believe it," Mom says in amazement, stroking my tail. "This is crazy."

"I know," I say. I splash her, and she splashes me back, and we have a laughing splash fight.

"Mom you do know that in order to become a mermaid, you need to drink the blood of another mermaid, right?" I ask.

"Yeah, I know that," she says.

"Would you... want to -?" I say.

"No," she say softly, with a smile.

"Are you sure? It's fun!" I exclaim,

"And it doesn't hurt." I say.

"Honey, if I ever want to become a mermaid, I'll let you know," she says, with a smile.

"Hey, help me out. I need to get back into my real body," I say laughing. I lift myself onto the edge of the tub, and I take Mom's hands, and get down onto the floor. My scales start to go away, and my legs start to unstick. I get the towel from the floor and cover myself. Mom laughs and walks out of the bathroom. I get dressed, and go downstairs.

"Dad, want to teach me how to be a vampire?" I say, with a smirk. He laughs, and we go my down to the basement fridge. He opens it and there are tons of blood bags. My mouth starts to water. I immediately take one and literally drain it.

"I want more," I say, craving blood.

"Resist the urge," Dad says.

"I can't,"

"Yes, you can. Fight it!"

"I can't,"

"Control the hunger."
I take another blood bag, and drain it.

"Munchkin, even though there are no more humans in Mystic Falls, well there is Moira but that's beside the point, there are humans other places in the world, and you're going to have to learn to control the urge," Dad said. I sigh.

"Now. Fight it, Evelyn. Resist the urge," He demanded. I take deep breaths, and am resisting as much as I could. My hands are shaking, and my mouth starts to water.

"Good job, just keep going," Dad says quietly. My hands clench into fists, and I'm controlling my hunger as much as I can. Dad closes the fridge.

"Okay. Good job. I know it's hard. We will resume our lesson tomorrow. Go learn how to be a werewolf or something.

"You know, maybe I will," I say. Topaz is a werewolf, so she can probably teach me how to be a wolf. I call her and she comes over right away.

"The first thing about being a wolf is that you need to know how to transition. I know you transitioned while you were turning into a Cuatrabrid, so you have an idea so you kind of know what it's like. You have the choice to turn whenever you want, and so do hybrids, but regular werewolves turn on full moons, though. In order to transition, you need to close your eyes, and picture yourself transitioning. Try it. You can stop it whenever you want." Topaz explains.
I close my eyes, and picture myself transitioning, and I fall to the floor and my bones start breaking. I stop it immediately.

"Okay! I don't think I'm going to be doing that any time soon," I say sarcastically.

"You'll get used to it after a while," Topaz laughs. I chuckle and we hang out the rest of the day.
