Shadow opened his eyes the next morning to find Sonic nibbling on his neck affectionately. Shadow moaned and turned his head to meet Sonic's lips with a deep, passionate kiss. As they broke apart, Sonic grinned at him.
"Good morning, Shadow," Sonic said, his voice laced with playful energy. "Did you sleep well?"
Shadow smiled back at him, feeling a warmth spreading through his chest. "I slept great, Sonic. And you?"
Sonic rubbed his eyes, trying to shake off the sleep. "I'm good, just a little tired still," he replied, stretching his arms above his head.
Shadow couldn't help but find Sonic's tiredness adorable. He yawned like a cat, trying to hold back the urge to stretch.
Sonic noticed Shadow's yawn and hugged him tightly, calling him cute and fluffy. Shadow felt his cheeks flush with embarrassment, but he couldn't help but feel loved by Sonic's affection.
He playfully shoved Sonic away, not wanting to be seen as too cute and fluffy. "Hey, watch it, Sonic," he said, trying to keep a straight face.
Sonic chuckled, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, come on, Shadow. You know you love it when I call you cute and fluffy."
Shadow rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile at Sonic's antics. He was grateful for this new chapter in his life, and he was excited to see where it would take them.
And with that, they shared another kiss, knowing that their love for each other would only continue to grow stronger. They were no longer rivals, but instead, they were two halves of a whole, bound together by their love and devotion to each other.
