The first thing James did when he woke up was follow back Regulus on Twitter.
And the first thing Regulus did when he woke up was buy a ticket for the Marauders show of the next week.
They hadn't really spoken to each other since that night, little did they know they were in each other's head day and night ever since then.
Then the date of the concert came, and Sirius decided to change the set list last minute.
"I'm telling you Sirius, we can't add a song now. I don't even know the chords!" Marlene was yelling at him from the other side of the room, getting her hair done.
"You won't have to, I'll play it by myself. On piano. Don't worry Marls." he said, slipping his morning coffee from his cup. Then he turned to Remus, looking at him with puppy eyes trying to convince him. "Hey Rem, my Moony, my love, my sweetheart, my sunshine, my everything, what do you think?"
"I think that your flattery won't work. Sirius we already gave the set list, we can't change it." Remus said, still reading his newspaper.
"James?" Sirius tried.
"Oh don't do that, Remus might be able to resist to your puppy eyes but I'm not, so stop looking at me." and he went into the other room, not ready to deal with this type of Sirius at 7 a.m.
"Oh Pete, Wormy, my favourite Marauder" Sirius started as soon as Peter entered the room.
"Isn't Remus your favourite?" said Lily, who was straightering Marlene's hair.
"I thought it was James to be honest." Mary continued as she was doing Marlene's make up.
"What do you want?" was what Peter said, used to Sirius' adulations every time he needed something.
"Since you asked, I wanted to add another song on the set list for tonight..." Sirius said, still hoping for some affermative answer.
"Like a surprise song?" Peter asked and James, who was hearing the whole conversation from the other room, ran into the kitchen and just hugged Peter.
"OH MY GOD PETER YOU'RE THE BEST. I think you just solved all of our problems with one sentence!" James said, still hugging Peter who was smiling akwardly.
"Of course! A surprise song, it's actually a good idea!" Remus said, finally letting go of his goddamn newspaper.
"So it's a yes?" and Sirius started jumping and dancing all around the kitchen table.
--------------------------------
Regulus had dragged his best friends to the show and he was quite pround of himself for doing so.
He was so excited to see James- wait, he was excited to see the whole band of course. Lets just pretend nothing happened.
The first song of the night was Anti-hero. The song was written by Peter, who doesn't perform in front of people, so Sirius was singing it. They all tried to convince Peter to sing but he refused, it was actually a waste since he was very good at it. And he was also an amazing song writer.
I have this thing where I get older but just never wiser
Midnights become my afternoons
When my depression works the graveyard shift
All of the people I've ghosted stand there in the roomThe next verse was sing by Marlene, who had a lower voice than Sirius'. (He did the parts in the brackers.)
I should not be left to my own devices
They come with prices and vices
I end up in crisis (tale as old as time)
I wake up screaming from dreaming
One day I'll watch as you're leaving
'Cause you got tired of my scheming
(For the last time)
