Regulus spent the last week locked in his house. He had Pandora bringing him food and water every day. He couldn't get himself to even put one foot out of the door. Not after what happened.
"Reg, I'm just saying, you're being a bit dramatic, honey. I get that you're upset and that you're ashemed of the fact that people now know that you have emotions but being locked in your own flat won't be good for either you or the band." Pandora said on the eighth day of Regulus' isolation.
"I'm not being dramatic, dear, I'm being realistic. People will hate me now, have you heard the fight?" he was lying on his favourite couch, the one on the left of the sofa, still in his pj's. He was eating ice cream. He spilled the ice cream on his shirt. He didn't care about it at all.
"I mean, the whole world heard it." she looked a bit disgusted by the ice cream on Regulus' shirt.
"You're not helping Rosier!" he yelled throwing his head back.
"I'm trying! Listen, you go take a shower, get dressed and we go to the bookstore, you buy yourself a new book and stop being miserable on your couch. What do you think?" Pandora got up from the sofa e took the ice cream away from Regulus, who gave her a dirty look.
"I think you've lost your mind Dora. I'm not going anywhere."
There he was, an hour later, full dressed and on his way to the bookshop with Pandora.
He saw people staring, some taking pictures, but he didn't care. He was minding his own business when he saw James bloody Potter at the cafe next to the bookshop. Fuck.
"Why don't we stop and have a coffee?" Regulus proposed, reciving a weird look from Pandora. Then she looked at the cafe and returned him a knowing look and a smirk.
They were in the cafe when James spotted them and came to say hi. Exactly what Regulus thought he would've done.
"Hi! I haven't seen you two in ages! How are you?" James 'Sunshine' Potter put on one of the biggest smile and waited for a response.
"Oh, hi James! I'm doing great! I've kinda missed you. By the way amazing concert, I was there with Reg and our friends but I think you know he was there. Why don't you join us?" Regulus gave Pandora a warning glance, but she ignored him.
James smiled again and accepted the offer.
He tried to talk to Regulus, but he only gave him mean stares. He sure wanted to see him again, but he definitely didn't want to sit at a table with him sipping tea and talking to him. He didn't plan about this at all.
Suddenly Pandora looked at her phone and got up.
"Oh shit! I gotta go, manager stuff. I'll call you when I'm back Reg, it was nice to see you again James! Bye" and she run away from the cafe, leaving the two boys alone. Fine, now Regulus had to pay for her order too.
"So...uhm, how are you doing? I mean...after, you know the...accident." James tried to start a conversation with the other boy. Regulus almost didn't answer him just to let the situation get more awkward.
"You mean after your stupid best friend left his microphone on and all the world heard our fight? Oh I'm doing great, thanks for asking." he said with a sarcastic smile.
"Really? Oh...nice, I guess?" Regulus almost laughed at him. He really thought he was being serious. God that boy was such an innocent soul.
"I was being sarcastic, you idiot." and he gave him another mean glance.
"Oh, sorry...hey, you called me an idiot!" James tried to look offended, failing miserably.
"Indeed, I did."
