The warm evening was rolling in and the sounds of the birds chirping and the horns of the vehicles passing by seemed to go on as the man walked on the sideway with a very happy grin on his face, eyes gleaming because of the golden rays, making his way to buy a gift.
Taehyung had asked Jin and Jimin on what gift to buy for Jungkook's birthday that was coming on the Friday. He was so excited to make it the best day for his bunno boyfriend and make it special. Jungkook had been quite nervous and alert almost all the time whenever they went out making him feel bad because he thought it was because of the latter's previous relationship . So he wanted to make him forget everything about the horrible past and start afresh.
Whistling and hopping on the path, he was making his way to the jewelry to buy his gift. Jimin said that Jungkook had always liked cute and dainty things making him smile thinking about how the person himself was cute and dainty himself.

"Good evening sir." the woman behind the counter smiled and greeted.
"Ah...Good evening, umm...I was looking for necklaces....could you show me some cute ones?" Taehyung asked not really knowing how to describe what he was envisioning.
"Sure sir" the woman bowed and made her way to the set of pieces that was kept below the thick safety glass. Taehyung immediately smiled seeing a cute chain with a butterfly locket.....but frowned thinking it was too simple and regular. After a few minutes of searching and showing he smiled, his mouth taking on a cute boxy shape...
"This one....please pack this, I'll buy it" Taehyung said with a lot of enthusiasm making the woman smile.
"You seem a lot happy sir, I guess the person getting this is very lucky" she said.
"Mhm, it's for my boyfriend" he beamed, eyes crinkling as he grinned.
"That is really sweet, I hope you both stay happy always" she said bowing again, keeping the necklace back inside the glass protection and going in to bring a velvet box to keep the jewelry. As she was inside, Taehyung stood there glancing at the store looking at the different pieces when he heard a loud crash, eyes widening at the sight as he saw the front door broken, few customers inside the store screaming at the noise.
A bulky man clad in black, with a face mask...only the eyes visible was holding an old woman, a knife at her throat, a gun on his belt.
"Everyone, on your knees...no one try to be smart, or this woman will only end up dead" he said making the poor soul to cry even more loud and plead for her life. He dragged the grandma behind the counter and started opening the money draw and stuffing his bag with the cash as everyone were trembling and crying.
Taehyung was also terrified...he was not going to just kneel there and wait till the man has robbed the entire store now....he can't just see these criminals just getting their way and destroying people's lives...his house and many other's houses were destroyed a few days ago...his neighbor was attacked and now this? He quickly rolled to a corner from where he can take his phone and called the police and informed them in a hush voice, while the robber was still loading cash to his bag.
After a minute, the siren sound was heard making the man pull the old woman closer and put the knife grazing her neck, ready to slice it across. The poor grandma almost fainting in his strong grip. Taehyung was still waiting thinking that the police will barge in any time and arrest him, but saw red as the man pulled the knife slightly making the a bit of blood to spill out and make her hiss in pain. He lurched forward in lightning speed and pulled the hands that held the knife, twisting it. Thanking the martial art classes he took in his teenage years, he kicked the man, straight in his torso.
The grandma was now released and some other customers pulled her right to their side while the robber was now enraged and advancing towards Taehyung. He swung the knife towards him, Taehyung missing it by a hairline and managed to give a strong punch to his arms making him to drop the knife he was holding only to take his gun from the belt. Thankfully before he could even point it to him, the police came in and beat him down, seizing his gun and knife and dragging him out of the store.
Everyone were sighing in relief while the old woman came and thanked Taehyung saying god will bless him and his loved ones immensely with happiness. He collected his gift and tiredly made his way out of the shop and went straight to Jin's house as he thought of keeping the gift there and then ask Jin to bring it when they would gather at Taekook's home in the evening. Reaching the destination, he was greeted with a wide eyed Jin who was looking at his shirt sleeve.
"TAE!....what is this, why are you wearing torn shirt now...Don't tell me it's a new fashion style now." Jin said making the younger chuckle.
"Haa!...no hyung...umm...wait, keep this gift somewhere and then I'll tell you yeah?" he said giving the gift to Jin who again was complaining to him saying why he did not take a photo of the gift and packed it before anyone else could see it. The whipped man said that the gift can only be seen by his bunno first making the other roll his eyes.

"ARE YOU CRAZY?"
"Hyung, don't shout please, then what else was I supposed to do, let that woman die?"
"Tae, I understand what you are saying, but there are people who care about YOU...what if the police did not come at that exact moment, would you have dodged the bullet like in movies or something?" "Think about us?...Jungkook?....no.....not us...at least your mother Tae" Jin reasoned making the boy quiet. He knows whatever he did an hour back was pure out of adrenaline rush and in the moment...thinking about the fact that what would have happened if the police did not come at that moment now terrified him....he had a life, he had a lover to come home to, he wanted to spend his life with that person and make many happy memories...his hyungs who cared like he was their own brother...his parents that helped him become what he is today...but at that moment nothing seemed right but saving that woman...she could be someone's mother too.
Jin and Taehyung knew that both of them were right...It was an ambiguous situation where both the decisions had its own right and there was no point in arguing about it either. Soon the bell was heard and by the door stood a worried bunny. He latched himself towards Taehyung and kissed him deeply when he opened the door, while Jin went back inside to give them privacy.
"Hyungie, where were you, I c-came home and called you many times as you were not there...y-you did not p-pick up?" he said eyes slightly red.
"Oh baby, it's nothing, I just came to Jin hyung's home to hang out...were you crying sweetheart...come here" the elder said hugging him tight. "My phone was in silent, I did not see your calls bun, look at me....smile?" he said, eyes looking fondly at the sweet bunno. His own smile forming as he saw his lover's lips quirking up, he pecked the younger's face multiple times making the later giggle and made their way into their hyung's home.
Jin was still standing in the living room looking at Tae making him sigh. He knew that he shouldn't hide anything from Jungkook and even if this incident will make him more terrified and nervous, he can't hide it. Better to say it now rather than him finding it out later through someone else. But oh! boy was he regretting his decision?
The bunno was letting out tears non stop from his eyes, sniffling and crying slowly, hugging Taehyung so tight that he can't even breath. He scolded the elder in a moment of heat but immediately broke down as he realized what had happened in the store. Jin and Taehyung were trying their all to console the bunno and cheer him up as within a few hours, it was the cutie bunno's birthday.
I feel so accomplished after writing this chapter....it's been like three to four weeks since I wrote the last chapter and writing this at one sitting without any distractions makes me happy.....love you guys...take care<3<3<3
