"Let me fix my shoe tie real quick." Leah bends down to lace her shoes again as we're just outside the school and we nod, waiting for her. I hate when people carry on walking when someone is behind.
"Guys, I have to go, my brother is here." Josh says and grips his backpack, going closer to a black car, a big one. Damn, he's rich, driving a range rover.
"Hey, hey, don't go!" I call after him and he turns to look at me.
"Your brother doesn't have to come pick you up from school.." I say as I go closer to him. He shrugs his shoulders and removes his hand from his backpack strap.
"Oh, it's okay, I don't mind." he scratches the back of his neck and I roll my eyes, taking a peek of his brother, but no chance. The windows are tinted.
"I do. We all leave together, come on now." he cracks a smile, finally, and takes out a breath, that looked like he'd been holding for a while.
"OK, just let me talk to my brother." he tells me and I nod, staying close to him, as he went over to the car window. I kept my eyes to my phone, not paying attention to him. To them actually.
"Lu, I think I'm gonna go with my brother..." Josh calling out my name took my attention, and I look up. What?
"Na-ah? Come here." I go closer to him, take his hand and put him behind me, going face to face with his brother. Holy moly.
I grip my biceps as my hands are crossed, as soon as I make eye contact with his green eyes. Green eyes, brown hair and a perfect jawline. Not that sharp, but ooh, it is there. Not only are his eyes pretty, but their expressive as well. I love when someone's eyes are expressive. It's like his drawing me in.
"He's not coming with you." I say, keeping my cool and he raises an eyebrow, staring at me just as hard as I am.
"He'll hang out with us." I carry on and he rolls his eyes.
"Who is she?" he eyes me one more time before he turns to Josh, who sighs behind me and tells him I'm his friend.
"If your friends are like this one, you need to make new ones asap." my eyes widen. Is he for real? He doesn't even know me.
"You don't even know me, you ass." I tuck my hair behind my ear since they got in the way and he scoffs, staring at my boobs.
"And my eyes are up here." I get his attention and his lips curve softly to a smirk. I roll my eyes and turn my back to him, taking Josh's hand as we make our way back to our friends, and leave his brother there.
"Damn, what a hottie. Totally checking you out by the way." Mariah murmurs and eyes me then Josh's brother , before she meets Josh's gaze, and he's glaring at her, telling her ew.
I roll my eyes too, and we leave, walking to my place and going to my boat. It's not technically my boat, it was my dad's, from what mom has told me, but he would give it to me, as she says. It's old, yes, but I have fixed it. I can be handy.
"Wow, fancy." Josh says and I chuckle, starting the engine and putting some music for us.
"Yeah, it's a bit rusty though." I answer and give David the wheel, since he had been nagging me for it. He loves it though, and I want to chill.
"Prepare yourself, Joshie. This baby is like a second home to us, we chill here until it gets winter." Mariah informs him and he smiles at her. He still is stiff, but he talks, makes a chat. I mean, it's normal to be stiff and awkward with people you don't even know.
Mariah takes out a joint, lighting it and smoking it, as Josh stared at her wide-eyed. Yeah, she doesn't look like the person who smokes weed. Or like the person who smokes in general.
"What? You want some?" she asks him and puffs the smoke in his face accidentally. He coughs and she murmurs a sorry, sitting up as we are almost laying down at the boat, without our shoes on, obviously. It's a strict policy of mine. I'm keeping my dad's legacy.
"Me? Noo way." he answers way too quickly and we laugh, him eventually laughing in the end.
"Let's just enjoy the sun guys. " I say and stretch some more, until I lay fully down, my back only up, on a seat.
"Mariah, what is that?" Leo's voice makes me open my eyes and look at the boat that was just beside us. The older guys. The older group. They're not that old, the oldest I think is 23? But yeah, they don't go to school, they're older than us automatically.
"It's nothing, please don't tell my parents." she exclaims and I giggle, as she takes it out quickly. Leo, my cousin, thinks he's like our dad, just because he's the eldest. Jokes on him, we're just months apart. But, yeah, he's almost 20, while I'm almost 19...
"Hey babe." Leah goes over to Leo and kisses him, almost jumping to his boat.
Let me tell you one thing: their parents weren't happy at first when they found out about their relationship.
"Hello to you too, sissy." Olivia rolls her eyes and acts offended, as Leah didn't even wave at her, and we all chuckle.
I sit up fully, my legs only stretched in front of me, when another one of their friends makes his way out of the boat, where Olivia, Leo (and Leah now) with two others were. Josh's brother. What was his name again? Ugh, who cares. He's an ass.
A tall ass. A really...masculine, muscular, radiating sensuality ass. Fuck, no, fuck that. He's an ass. Period.
His eyes linger on me for what feels like an eternity, before he looks at his brother.
"So that's your hangout?" he asks and puts his sunglasses on, and boom, he's ten times hotter. His shirt lifts a little and I see his abs. Damn, do abs go all the way down? To this point? I take a deep breath and look away from him to the sea, when I feel his eyes on me again. I just need to get laid. I haven't had any since Dean and I broke up three months ago, despite some makeouts with guys I didn't really care here and there. I'm just picky with who I'm getting intimate with. That's just it.
Mariah next to me elbows my side, like she's telling me to look and I whine from the pain. The chick has some real strength.
"He's so hot." she whispers to me and I glance at him, finding him talking to Simon, the eldest of the(ir) group.
"He's an asshole Mariah. You wouldn't believe how he spoke to me earlier, and he doesn't even know me." I say, also whispering, and her eyes widen, scoffing, as she whispered a curse word about him.
"He liked you though. He totally liked you." she murmurs and I roll my eyes.
"I don't care?" I answer, more like a rhetorical question and she chuckles, as I get up.
"Leah are you coming or what?" I go closer to them and they all turn to look at me.
"Hey guys." I say, waving at everyone, since I know them and we've hung out plenty of times, but I didn't spare a second look at him.
Damon! Ha! I remember!
They wave back at me, Leo and I talking for a bit, since I haven't seen him in a while...well, 2 days, and soon enough, Leah gets back to our boat. I take the wheel now, taking all of them home, before I go back to my place, where I shower, and watch my favorite series.
