Luna, April.

I pack my suitcase and go to the living room, seeing Mike there, smiling at me. It's been almost a year after my last visit to OBX, after everything that happened there. I'd be lying to myself if I haven't thought of Damon. He called a couple of times, then texted me. I answered. I couldn't help myself but answer. I wanted to hear him. But it's been a while since he called, or texted. And I'm relieved. Partially at least.

"You ready? Let's book the tickets." he grabs his laptop and puts it on his lap, and I go next to him.

"I can't believe Outer Banks has an airport now. " he murmurs and I nod, thinking immediately how he made it once again, like he said, halfway through the next year.

"Damn, and a good name too." Mike catches my attention as I had zoned out, and that's when I realize, he's on the website to book tickets.

And thats when I also look at it. The name. The name he didn't want to tell me. Aéroport de Lune.

My heart begins beating fast and my breath hitches. That's why he didn't want to tell me. Because it has my name on it. Why is he doing these things?

"Who owns it ,by the way?" Mike took me out of my thoughts, and I saw him booking the tickets, grabbing his card to pay.

"Damon." I answer and his eyes widen, before nodding his head.

"Damn, the dude's really into pilot shit huh?" he carries on, more of like a rhetorical question, and I chuckle softly, politely. He is.

I don't understand how Mike doesn't catch up. I haven't told him Damon's my ex, yet this -the name-, is proof that him and I were close in the past. Yet, he doesn't get it. Or he acts like he doesn't get it.

"He is." I tell him and he nods, giving my cheek a kiss, before going inside to bring his suitcase here. We don't live together, but he spends most of his free time here.

While he's inside, my phone beeps. It's Mariah.

Mariah
Did you book tickets? You coming?

I roll my eyes jokingly, and decide to mock her.

Luna
We did, obviously, it's not like we're getting married in three days or something.

I laugh.

Mariah
🙄
You did, huh? Did you see the name?

Luna
I did, Mariah, I did.

Mariah
It's like it's Lune it's you or something.

I can sense her teasing tone, but my palms get sweaty.

Luna
I didn't know he was going to name it that.

I type. I told Mariah everything. I couldn't keep it to myself. She slapped my hand, which hurt, and told me to decide what I really want. And I did, yeah, I did.

Mariah
He's full of surprises I know.
Is he coming to the wedding?

Luna
He hasn't responded to the invitation, so I don't think he's coming.

Yeah...I invited him... I couldn't do otherwise. My parents, and Mike, but I mostly cared about Mike, were asking why I weren't inviting him. Guess why! I did sent him an invitation, so that Mike won't think anything suspicious...or completely real.
