Bio:

Not much is known about Fen'ghil'lan's early life, other than she was born to Solas and Ladanelan in Skyhold where she spent much of her youth with her deeply loving and encouraging parents. In her teen years, Fen'ghil'lan joined her father's rebellion, aiding him in fighting back against the Evanuris. This resulted in the murder of her mother in retaliation. Which caused the rebellion to swell in size and determination. Fen'ghil'lan became a gifted and prolific general of the rebellion which brought her to the forefront of the Evanuris' attention. She was captured and imprisoned and the elves under her command killed.

Word reached Solas who immediately set about organising a rescue attempt. But by the time he reached her, she was gone. Transformed into a lyrium idol by the Evanuris. The idol also depicted Solas and Ladanelan and their doomed love as a way to mock him. Her capture was also used as a distraction, whilst Solas was busy trying to find and save his daughter, the Evanuris turned around and killed Mythal, his dear friend.

Solas placed the idol deep underground in the Valdasine Thaig, to protect it before he sought justice by trying to kill the Evanuris. He failed. So he created the Veil to banish them forever. The act was referred to as "holding back the sky" and was performed in Skyhold. Solas himself was greatly weakened and fell into a centuries-long slumber.

During this time, Fen'ghil'lan's idol became tainted by her magic and turned it into red lyrium which eventually began to spread, infecting other lyrium veins.

- Note: This next part messes with the timeline a bit. The official timeline says that Solas woke a year before Inquisition, but for this idea, he has to have been woken in 9:37; 4 years before Inquisition.

At the end of 9:31; Hawke of Kirkwall helps fund an expedition to the Deep Roads with Bartrand Tethras and Varric Tethras. They discover an ancient, pre-First Blight Primeval Thaig, and an ancient lyrium idol, Fen'ghil'lan's idol, contained within.
