He got her safely to the towers, walking and hailing a taxi rather than using his powers of speed. She hadn't been able to stop crying on the journey home, which distressed Pietro immensely. He was deeply worried that she was hurt internally and he couldn't see what the problem was. Which was why as soon as they walked into Tony's penthouse suit, he gently guided the female to Bruce Banner (who at the time was leisurely reading a book), despite the other voices of concern raised by the remaining Avengers. "I found her in the Ghost Town area of NY. I think something's wrong with her internally, she can't stop crying and she won't speak."

Bruce's doctor side kicked-in immediately, he nodded understandingly at Pietro and focused his attention on the female, who was now sobbing loudly and almost painfully. "Does she have a name?"

Quicksilver shook his head. "She won't tell me. All I found her with was her rucksack."

Natasha was already walking in the direction of the lab and motioned for Pietro to throw the bag at her. He did just what she wanted. The red-haired female caught it with ease and called as she disappeared into the said room. "I'll scan this for prints!" she was always eager to get involved more with the forensic side of the avenging team. She possessed the calm, precise skills a scientist needed. The world of science truly lost a talented contribution when she became an assassin.

"She needs to be examined but..."

The silver-haired male raised an eyebrow. "But...?!"

"Tony, take over here for a moment." Bruce looked at the girl and the motioned for Pietro to move away from the girl and stand with him a few feet away. Tony obeyed the Doctor's command and went to the girl's side and gently guided her to one of the leather sofas, where he coaxed her into sitting down. "But we have to get consent." he whispered. "It's illegal for me to examine her without it, a breach of her human rights."

Oh. Pietro nodded, looking somewhat unhappy. "How are we going to get that?" he paused. "I couldn't get her to say one word to me."

The scientist shrugged. "It'll have to be through written consent. Hang on," Bruce cleared his throat. "JARVIS!" he called.

"Yes, Mister Banner?" the A.I. butler replied.

"Yeah, I'm going to need a medical consent form printed out, asap."

"Of course, Sir. Right away."

"As soon as she signs that," Bruce continued his conversation with Pietro. "I can take a look at her."

Wanda, Pietro's twin sister, had just stumbled upon the scene when she had heard the loud crying. "Pietro?!"

"Wanda." the male looked at his sister and walked towards her.

"What's going on, I heard crying and-"

"I can explain." he looked over at the girl in purple and then to his sister, her gaze was full of concern and a hint of caution. "I was wandering around and I came across her in this...I don't know, abandoned area. She was crying and I...I think she's in trouble." he paused again. "I brought her here because I couldn't just leave her and-"

"Mr Banner, your consent form in printing in your lab, would you like me to have Dummy bring it over to you."

"Uh, that won't be necessary but thank you, JARVIS." Bruce walked across the room to where Tony was sitting beside the girl, handing her tissues and trying (and failing) to get her to stop crying. The kind man knelt in front of her and spoke calmly and reassuring. "Hey, my name is Doctor Banner and I really want to help find out what's wrong, okay? But first, I'm going to need you to give consent for me and my medical team to examine you. Am I clear so far?"

She nodded, her tears falling thick and fast.

He smiled meekly at her. "Okay. Good. So, my friend and I," he motioned for Pietro to join them. "you've met him already, are going to help you walk to my lab, fill out some forms- if you want to- and then we can start helpingyou feel better. Is that alright?"

Another nod.

"Hmm." Bruce stood up, offering a hand to the girl. She took it gingerly and he helped her rise too. Pietro was instantly at her side, tenderly guiding her to the lab. Every so often, she would have to stop and wipe her tears.

Twenty minutes later, the forms were signed and it was discovered that her name was Arrabella, Arrabella May. Arrabella May, the girl in purple who couldn't stop crying.

Now that the forms had been signed, it was time for the tests to begin. It was time to discover what was causing her tears...
