It felt like ages, but eventually 5 pm finally rolled around. You stood in the foyer, picking at the flint on your dress, making sure you were ready. Tonight you were wearing a more casual dress with a turtleneck underneath, along with a pair of ballet flats.

Just when you finished applying some pink lipstick, questioning if you even liked it or not or if Jack would like it too, there was a light knock on the door. You turned your head to see Jack standing outside, already looking at you through the glass door.

Both of your faces lit up as you saw one another.

When you opened the door and stepped out, his hands naturally grasped your hips. You placed your palms over his chest to balance and tiptoed to fully reach his lips. Kissing Jack took your breath away every time. It wasn't robotic or just an activity. It was warm and welcoming and you always wanted more.

When you eventually pulled away, you snorted. His lips were covered in pink lipstick.

"Oh my god! I'm sorry!" You began to wipe his mouth off with your thumbs trying to get the product off. Jack just continued to smirk down at you as you fussed.

"Oh hey, Jack." You swiveled to find Nick leaning in the entryway, watching the two of you.

"Hi Nick, how are you?" Jack asked taking your hand in his.

"Good. Where are you going?"

"I was going to take your sister to the drive-in." Jack squeezed your hand and a thrill of excitement rushed through you. You hadn't been to a drive-in in years!

"Cool!" Your brother looked at you in that judging, silly sibling way, then just said, "You have lipstick all over." A second later, he closed the door on the two of you.

One lipstick removal and a 30 min car drive later, Jack was pulling into the drive-in.

It was filling up, but Jack was able to find nice parking. There were children running all over, students sitting on top of cars, and couples snuggling close together as the sun set, waiting for the movie to start.

Jack took a moment to set up the car. He showed you a blanket he brought in case you got cold. He also brought snacks in case you got hungry. He placed the speaker on his car door too. And finally relaxed. It was ridiculously sweet for Jack to have thought about you and prepared so much.

"No kids tonight?" you asked, noticing two young girls walking hand in hand back to their parents car.

"Oh yeah, still with their mother."

"Ah, I see. You're trying to get as much time out of me before they're back?"

"Exactly," Jack chuckled.

"So, what's the movie tonight?" you asked Jack, scooching closer.

He wrapped his arm around the back of your shoulders, pulling you in.

"A New Hope."

"No way!" You beamed at him.

"You like it?"

"Yes, it's one of my favorites!"

"Mine too, it's going to be a classic!" He laughed and watched you pull your legs up to settle in and prepare for the movie, excited to find out Jack was also a Star Wars fan.
