After the very exciting and eventful visit to see Jack at work, he took you out for some ice cream. That way he could sit and enjoy the rest of his peach pie with a scoop of vanilla and you could lick your favorite ice cream off a cone.

As you sat together, Jack kept kissing on you, asking if you were okay after his playful little punishment. He rubbed your back and held your hand, constantly reassuring you that he was there after the dominant intensity he showed. He was being loving...

He had to eventually drop you back off because he had to go pick up his kids. It was his turn to have the kids for the week.

It had been four days since your visit with Professor Jack Gladney and you hadn't seen him since. He called on the phone each night and apologized for having not seen you. He said he was swamped with the kids and grading papers after work. Which you'd never hold against him. He was a father first. Before he was...well what was he to you? At this point, you'd assume he was your boyfriend.

Nick called you from down the hall, "It's your boyfriend!!"

You smirked, finding that timing a bit too perfect.

"Thanks." You grabbed the phone from him, and he ran back into his room.

"Hey, you."

"I'm having deja vu." He chuckled softly.

"Me too," you said, also chuckling. You recalled the first time he called and he asked if your brother was right, was he your boyfriend yet?

"Come over tonight? Let's make it official?" he asked sweetly.

Your stomach flooded with butterflies. "Okay."

"My kids are here. I was just getting dinner prepared. Are you alright meeting them?"

"Well if I'm going to be your girlfriend, Jack, I suppose I'll have to meet them sooner or later."

"True." He chuckled.

"So what time should I be there?"

"I'll have dinner finished innnn...about 40. Can you get here by then?" You could tell he was looking at his watch.

"Yeah, of course! Do you need me to bring anything or pick up anything?"

"Ahh no, just you and yourself, kiddo."

You beamed at his warm and inviting charm.
"Ok, see you soon."

And with that, you were out the door. You decided to pick up a tub of ice cream as a safe bet with the kids. You didn't want to arrive empty-handed.

"Finally, you're here!" Jack said, opening his front door, swooping you into a big hug, and kissing your cheek roughly. It was nice to be shown this much affection. You hugged him back and he let out a satisfied groan as he squeezed you tighter.

"I've missed you, sweet pea," he whispered, rocking and turning the both of you so he was ushering you inside, kissing your face and head all over.

"I missed you too," you admitted, stepping inside his house. It was just as you remembered–warm, lively, and currently flooded with the smell of something absolutely mouthwatering.
