Bright white lights flashed into the eyes of the leader of Jango Org. The bed he laid on was soft and the smell was what you'd smell from a dentists office. As his blurry vision was regained, he would look around the room, finding multiple people on other hospital beds in the room. Majority of them were being zipped up into their body bags as the sounds of a constant beep from a heart monitor came from multiple directions. One doctor would enter the room, walking over with a box and placing it down beside Porters bed.
"Seems you are one of the few who made it out of that wreckage alive, though there are minor injuries I must say." The doctor would say as Porter looked in confusion, only to realize the feeling in his legs were gone as well as one arm. His gaze shot down and he would yell out at the sight of almost every limb gone from his body.
"No worries, our equipment here will get you back into position... we are upgrading your crew as well as upgrading your equipment." Porter would watch as the doctor pulled out prosthetic limbs, moving to each limb that was gone and removing the bandage, showing the bloody mess that would lie underneath it. Porter would watch as what looked like sentient wires extracted from the leg and made its way to the wound, a sharp stabbing pain shooting through him as the wires would connect to where his limb was separated. His screams of agony would ring around the room and out the door as with each limb inserted, he felt himself slipping away from the pain of it alone.
Everything went dark, soon opening his eyes to a hallway with a window showing to the outside. He sat in a wheelchair where the doctor wheeled him around.
"Your men will come with our latest age of tech upgrades which will benefit you against the mercenaries at Grim Hex. We've also decided it's time you moved away from the Kraken carrier into something a bit more suiting for this war ahead of us." Porter was in too much of a daze to keep a clear conscious as he was now wheeled up to the window. The view of his new ship brought a bit of his humanity back, looking upon an Aegis Javelin ship that was docked and being worked upon by engineers. No organization was ever handed a ship like this unless it was necessary, it was only ever used for wars that needed a swift winning.
"Give yourself a month to get those legs and arm in proper order, and you will be on it with your crew in no time" the doctor would say with a grin forming over his face. Porter would grip the cushion on the wheelchair with his new arm, squeezing hard until the metal was contorted and the cushion was ripping off before he pushed himself up. His balance was lost immediately as he put his hands on the glass, breathing heavily as the anger in his eyes stared upon his new ship.
"Whatever it takes to get me out of here sooner... I'll do it... These pests must be handled... I will squash them all!"The End
