Sleeping With The Enemy - Simon's POV (TWD Simon fanfic)

I didn't get much sleep before it was time to get up. After Y/N had left it took me a while to switch off enough for sleep to find me. 

Negan had told me to start Y/N's training today, so as soon as I was ready I headed to her room.

"Come on sweetheart open up!" I called when knocking on her door wasn't enough.

"Go away!" she shouted back, but I opened the door anyway and let myself in. Not caring thatI hadn't been invited and stood at the end of her bed. 

"Come on darling rise and shine we start training today" I explained, she groaned and pulled the duvet over her head. I chuckled to myself and grabbed hold of the duvet  whipping it off the bed, exposing her in the pyjamas she had been wearing the night before, I smirked as I took in her exposed flesh. "So I suggest you get that cute ass out of bed and down to the courtyard pronto" I added

"You're an ass!" she groaned

"I know" I replied still smirking as I let myself out of the room, pausing to add "You love it" before leaving.

I headed down to the courtyard to wait for her, looking forward to spending the day together. Despite the fact she was clearly still in a mood with me after last night. I made a detour through the kitchen on my way out to the courtyard to grab her something to eat. She wasn't working yet so wouldn't be earning the points required to exchange for food and other item from the market.

I was stood by the front gate when I saw her. She began to make her way over as I watched her every move. She was wearing tight green, high waist jeans, a grey tank top that was tucked in and knee high cowboy boots. She had plaited her hair so it fell to the left and her fringe hung loosely over her face. She looked stunning. 

"You took your time" I teased, looking her up and down "but boy am I glad you did" she tried not to blush as she shook her head,

"Enough small talk what are we doing today?" she snapped, I smirked at her annoyance

"I'm gonna teach you to shoot" I explained, handing her a pistol and a granola bar for breakfast. She took both of them from me, seeming surprised at the gesture of food. Hopefully  that would earn me some brownie points. "by the way I love it when you're feisty" I whispered lowering my voice. She rolled her eyes and followed as I lead her through the gates and out into the trees.

We walked in silence for about half a mile, sexual tension fogging the air as she struggled to keep up with my pace. Eventually we reached a clearing, her eyes bulging in surprise as she spotted the 5 walkers chained to trees, realising they were going to be her targets. I chuckled at her startled expression, guiding her to an X I had made from twigs on the floor, hands on her bare shoulders as I did, my skin tingling as it made contact with hers, wondering if she felt it too.

"take aim" I said gesturing to the walkers, She lifted her shaky arms, pointing the gun at the first walker, looking back at me for reassurance.

"Take your shot sweetheart and we will work from there" I smiled, I could tell she was nervous, I questioned whether she had even held a gun before. She took a shot and the bullet flew very low and wide, making me chuckle.

"first time?" I asked walking up behind her, she only nodded as I slid my hands down her arms, needing to touch her, until my fingers slid over her, my breath on the back of her neck, pressing my cheek to the side of her head and lifting her arms slightly. I could tell she was struggling to concentrate by the sound of her heavy breathing "close one eye and look down the barrel" I whispered, lips brushing her ear as I spoke, causing her whole body to shiver, the temptation to spin her round and kiss her was unbearable but I resisted. She sighed and lowered her arms,

"Could you just teach from a distance and stop trying to seduce me?" she hissed, I stepped away smirking.

"I wasn't trying to do anything sweetheart but if that was working then damn I'm good" I laughed. She ignored my comment and turned her attention back to the task in front of her, using the technique I had just showed her. Her first couple of shots skimmed the head as the walker moved around but a couple of minor adjustments and the third successfully penetrated the brain. She grinned happy with Herself,

"Good" I laughed "now the next one" this one was further away but her first shot was right on target, and she cleaned up the other 3 corpses with only a few misfires. Without warning she turned and jumped into my arms filled with accomplishment, without hesitation I caught her and held you close as she laughed and hugged me, warmth spreading through my body. "You did it baby" I whispered chuckling, I'm not sure what I said wrong but suddenly she scrambled to her feet pushing me away. I sighed and ran a thumb and forefinger over my moustache in frustration.

"I'm still mad at you " she snapped, marching in the direction of the Sanctuary. I ran after her, grabbing her arm and pulling her to a halt.

"you weren't mad when you threw yourself at me just now" I groaned exasperated, "that was an instinct"

"It was a moment of weakness" she snapped "I was happy and you were here"

"So if Dwight was here you would have jumped into his arms too?" I hissed,

"Don't fucking start" she yelled "you know I wouldn't, although I'm sure you wouldn't hesitate in catching Sherrie if she threw herself at you" I groaned loud at her childish come back,

"Are we really gonna go back over this!" I shouted

"You started it" she threw back

"Why do you have to ruin what was a nice morning?" I sighed,

"you're gonna lecture me about ruining the moment after last night?" she scoffed, I couldn't help myself, I marched over, grabbed her face in one hand and brought her lips crashing against mine. Her body betrayed her and she kissed me back straight away. It was, hot, wet and urgent, making my toes curl as your tongues fought for dominance. We broke for air, foreheads resting together, panting as we caught our breath. I stroked her cheek with the back of my hand as she played with my moustache between her fingers.

"I'm...still....mad....at you" she managed to say between breaths, I rose an eyebrow and smirked, tilting her chin back towards my lips,

"You sure about that?" I whispered licking her top lip.

"Mmm hmm" she managed to nod as she slid her hand behind my neck and pulled my lips back to hers. We made out for a while, hands running through hair and tugging at shirts.

"We really....should....be....getting....back" I said between kisses, causing her to whine.

"Okay" she sighed breaking free of my hold "but don't think this makes everything okay" she warned trying hard not to smile as I knew full well she wasn't mad anymore.

"I know" I groaned "you're still mad" rolling my eyes. She nodded as we headed back to the Sanctuary, head spinning from our steamy encounter in the trees.

We both silently smoothed out our appearance as the large grey building came into view. It was just past noon and the sun was beating down on us, I would be thankful to get into the shelter of the Sanctuary.

"I can't wait to get a shower" I exclaimed breaking the silence,

"You have bath" she stated, obviously remembering the en suite she had hidden in.

"I do" I smiled looking across at her " I use the shower block most of the time, its quicker" she nodded in agreement "But if you ever want to get all soapy in my bath tub....." I started

"Simon.." she warned and I held his hands up.

"Just putting it out there" I smirked "but it's fine we'll put a pin in that one" she giggled as I mimed putting an imaginary pin into an equally imaginary pin board. Rolling her eyes as I winked at her.

As we closed the Sanctuary gates behind us, I handed her an apple, knowing she must be starving and started to walk in the opposite direction.

"See you at dinner darling" I called and she waved in response.

I just want to say this was one of my favourite Chapters and I love it just as much from Simon's POV!
