Author note - I'm skipping the Chapter 'Belonging' as it just covered Y/N settling back in at Hilltop.
***********************************************************************************************
It had been a couple of days since Y/N went back to Hilltop. Today we were setting up roadblocks to try and catch a new group that were attempting to recruit the other communities to rise up against us.
As luck would have it, the road blocks were going to be pretty close to Hilltop. So I decided to make an early start and sneak in while Y/N was sleeping to make sure she had settled back in ok.
I climbed through her window, being careful not to make too much noise and wake her. Just as I was about to pull my shirt off and climb into bed beside her. I realised she wasn't alone.
My initial feeling was rage and jealousy. Until I noticed that it was the little boy that cried for her when we visited as Saviours.
I wasn't sure what to feel, this was new territory for me. It warmed my cold heart to see her with a child and stirred something inside me that I'd buried a long time ago.
I crept downstairs and left them to sleep a little longer. Settling in an armchair whilst I waited for her to wake up. I knew I wouldn't be waiting long, she was an early riser.
Soon enough I heard her coming down the stairs. She didn't notice me in the living room, headed straight for the kitchen and began preparing porridge.
"Is there enough for me too?" I asked, coming up behind her in the kitchen, she spun around startled.
"Simon" she gasped "what are you doing here?"
"Nice to see you too sweetheart" I laughed,
"of course I'm happy to see you" she smiled standing on her tiptoes to kiss me, I smirked against her kiss,
"That's more like it" I whispered, she turned to finish breakfast, making a fifth bowl for me, I presumed the other bowls were for Jess and Craig, I wasn't sure they would be too pleased to find me in their kitchen.
"I've been here a while but you looked so peaceful asleep I didn't want to wake you" I confessed, making her blush "and something about you curled up with a child warmed the cockles of my cold heart" I whispered, placing my hands on her hips, trapping her between me and the worktop, kissing her neck. She tilted her head giving me better access,
"Now who's being distracting" She managed to say breathlessly, I chuckled and stepped away allowing her to pick up Jess and Craig's bowls and take them upstairs.
"Cameron's gone back to sleep" she told me as she walked over to the table and took a seat opposite.
"That little man ruined my plans of climbing in bed with you" I smirked,
"He's been the man in my life a long time before you" she teased, I shook my head and laughed. I could cope with that, it meant no jealous ex boyfriend "I thought you were busy with roadblocks and stuff?" she asked,
"blocking the roads leading here" I told her "so I am but, I couldn't be that close and not come to see you" she blushed as I took a mouthful of porridge.
"I'm glad you came" she smiled, there was something troubling her behind that smile, but I couldn't put my finger on it. We both finished our porridge,
"I can't stay long" I sighed "if you were still a saviour you could have come with me"
"Simon don't" she moaned, that tone killed me, I wanted to make her moan "I'm happy to be home don't make me feel guilty about it"
"I know little darling" I sighed "its just, my bed felt very empty last night without you" I confessed, laying myself bare, being vulnerable had never come easy to me, I put on a front 90% of the time, played a character, but with Y/N I was starting to be myself.
"So did mine" she admitted. Pleased with her admittance, I stood up and walked round the table, pulling her to her feet, I lifted her and sat her on the kitchen worktop, her legs wrapped around my waist like it was instinct, her arms wrapped around my neck as I leaned in and kissed her softly, she immediately kissed me back, I slid my hands under her shirt, feeling her supple flesh drove me insane, her body responded to my touch, goosebumps lacing every perfect inch of her exposed flesh.
"really! in the kitchen" we were interrupted as Jess walked in, we broke the kiss and I buried my head in her neck embarassed. I was ok with being vulnerable in front of Y/N. But I wasn't ready for other people to see that side of me.
"Sorry Jess" she giggled
"Hi Simon" Jess teased, obviously amused by my embarrassment,
"Hi" I replied pulling away and helping Y/N down from the counter. Cameron wandered in rubbing his eyes,
"Hey buddy you hungry?" she asked him, crouching down to his level,
"mmm hmm" he yawned, and then spotted me and clung on to her leg as she stood up, he was obviously wary of me, recognising me from my previous visits. I knew how much he meant to Y/N and I didn't want him to scared of me, so I crouched down too,
"Hey big man" I said softly "you don't need to be scared, we're friends" I told him, gesturing between Y/N and me, "how about you release her leg and we will warm up that porridge?" Cameron nodded and allowed me to take his hand. Y/N watched us and I knew my actions meant a lot to her. Didn't she know by now I would do anything to make her happy. I lifted Cam onto the counter and let him help warm up his breakfast, I winked at Y/N, before turning my attention back to Cameron.
"Well that does sound like fun" I agreed with him, "maybe we could go on a real adventure one day", Cameron realised Y/N was listening and turned to face her,
"Can we please?" he begged, his eyes lighting up with excitement, I could see the joy mirrored in Y/N's expression.
"Only if I get to come" she grinned,
"Oh no this is a boys thing" I teased, swinging an arm around Cam's shoulder, causing her to smile.
"Cameron why don't you go brush your teeth and get dressed" she suggested,
"Will you still be here when I'm done?" he asked looking up at me,
"Probably not big man" I sighed, ruffling Cam's hair, his face dropped. He liked me, I wasn;t used to that, "But I'll come visit real soon" his face lit up again as he jumped down from the counter, threw his arms around my waist, before running upstairs.
"Looks like you made a new friend" Y/N said acting shocked,
"It's not unheard of" I smirked "I can be nice" she walked over and stood on her tip toes. I thought she was going to kiss me, but what she actually did was so much hotter,
"I prefer it when you're rough" she whispered, I growled and leaned my forehead against hers,
"Why do you have to say things like that when I need to go" I moaned, she giggled and kissed me,
"Simon you're leaving me" she smirked echoing me words from the day before "I'm letting you walk away wanting more" I bit my lip and sighed amused,
"Baby I'll always want more" I growled, and kissed her, I could have kissed her all day.....amongst other things. But unfortunately I had a job to do and an angry boss. "I...really....need.....to go" I whispered between kisses, pulling her arms from around my neck, causing her to pout.
"Okay" she sighed, stepping aside so I could leave
"Oh I almost forgot" I smiled turning back to her and handing over a radio "So whenever I'm close, I can tune into your frequency and speak to you" she took the radio, holding it to her chest, I could tell she was touched by the gesture, I could be romantic when I wanted to be. She gave me one last kiss before I left. "Bye little darling" I called as I shut the door behind me.
