Alexandria/Busted

A couple of days passed, I had spoke to Y/N on the radio several times but we were so busy with the new threat of Ricks group and searching for Daryl, that I hadn't had time to see her.

We knew the settlements were still colluding against us, but until we had more intel, we couldn't make a solid plan of how to defend ourselves, or take them out if we didn't know where the key players were hiding. 

Negan had confiscated all the guns from Alexandria so the threat was limited in terms of fire power, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. 

We were out searching for Daryl again, in the woods around Alexandria, Negan was planning on dropping by at Alexandria after one of men said he saw one of them with a gun at the gate. 

We were following some tracks in the trees when my radio crackled into life. 

"Hey Simon" Negan said, "Get your ass to Alexandria, your girl is here"

I couldn't believe my ears. Y/N was at Alexandria. 

Why? Was she working with them? Had she been lying to me all this time? So many questions running through my mind. I couldn't think of a single good reason for her to be there. 

"What the fuck is she doing there?" I replied sounding concerned and angry all at the same time,

"Just get the hell here and ask her yourself" Negan replied, clipping the radio back onto his belt. 

I arrived at Alexandria and just as they opened the gates, I heard a gun shot. I felt sick. But managed to keep my cool and jump into action. I ran towards the sound, my hand on my own gun, ready in case I needed. 

Negan was laying in the street looking shocked and furious, Lucille held up protectively. there was a man at his feet, his guts emptied out on the floor, some of his men were restraining a woman who held a gun.

"What the fuck is going on here?" I yelled, and ran across to Negan on the floor, "Boss you okay?" I asked pulling him to his feet,

"I am far from okay, that was not fucking okay!" he yelled, then turned to me, "get her inside while I deal with this" I glanced across at Y/N, worried, if she had been here to help Rick, Negan would have her in chains by now, I ran across, lifting Cameron into my arms and guiding her into the church across the street.

As soon as the door closed behind us, she fell to the floor sobbing. I sat Cameron on a bench, removed my jacket and wrapped it around him, before going to Y/N on the floor.

"Shhhhhhh" I whispered as she clung onto me and cried, once she hand calmed down, I pulled her up to sit on another bench and crouched in front of her, my hand holding her cheek as I wiped the tears away. "You gonna tell me what you were doing here?" I asked.

"Trying to protect you" she whispered, I smiled and shook my head, then kissed her softly, course she was. What a woman.

"Oh baby you've got things backwards" I sighed "I'm supposed to protect you" she continued to tell me the events of the last 2 days and I listened silently. Maggie was pioneering this. 

"I love you" I finally spoke, pulling her onto my lap and holding her close, "I never thought I would get someone who loved me enough to do what you have" I confessed. She kissed my neck up to my jaw line,

"I do love you" she whispered "so much.......and there's something you should know" yI looked at her confused, there was more? Cameron, walked over and curled up next to us both, interrupting Y/N before she could continue,

"Where's Daryl?" he asked innocently, I tensed. Daryl. He did not just ask about Daryl. She had promised, promised me she didn't know where he was and would tell me as soon as he did. This was not happening. I was ready to freak out but wouldn't lose my cool in front of the kid.

"What kid?" I asked him, trying to sound calm for Cameron's sake but I was ready to blow.

"Daryl came with us yesterday" Cameron replied "Where's he gone?" I sighed, struggling to remain calm at this revelation. He travelled with them? So he'd been at Hilltop? She knew him well enough to travel with him?

"Tell me you know someone else called Daryl" I growled at her, she shook her head.

"That's what I was about to tell you" she whispered, barely audible. Too late!

"He turned up at Hilltop yesterday right?" I asked,  desperate for her to not have lied to me.

"I'm sorry" she replied crying now "I didn't want to lie to you" But she had! Even after everything. I couldn't even look at her, I just pushed her off my lap and stood up.

"You are so fucking lucky Cam is here right now" I snapped.

"Can we go home now Simon?" Cameron asked, my face softened as I looked at the child,

"I've got a better idea buddy" I smiled, knowing how to handle this without causing a scene "how about we go on that adventure I promised you" Cameron's face lit up.

"All of us?" he asked excited now

"No buddy" I grinned then glared at Y/N "this is just a boy thing remember, She'll meet us there" We would take them both to the Sanctuary and Cameron would see it as a holiday, an adventure. The doors swung open and Negan walked in,

"Well hell Simon you missed the damn show" he beamed. Then stopped in his tracks obviously sensing the atmosphere "Shit have I missed a domestic?"

"We're going on an adventure" exclaimed Cameron still oblivious to what was going on. 

"They're coming to the Sanctuary" I explained, Negan looked at me confused "Turns out our little pocket rocket has been helping the Sanctuary's most wanted" I explained and Negan looked at Y/N, realisation in his face, obviously I had missed a lot today. He licked his bottom lip and laughed smirking at her,

"It all makes sense now" he laughed "Well honey I've got to hand it to you, you are fucking good"

"I'm sorry" she sobbed, Cam was looking at her confused. "I didn't want to deceive either of you I swear"

"But you did" I snapped "She'll have to ride in your truck" I said to Negan, "I can't even look at her"

"Sure thing" Negan sighed walking over to her.

"Come on kid lets get on this adventure" I smiled taking Cameron's hand,

"Cameron!" she called, he turned back to look at her and so did I, my eyes warning her not to make things worse. "be careful baby okay?" he nodded and skipped off with me.

I would let Negan decide how best to punish her. I wanted nothing to do with her ever again. She had lied and deceived me and it fucking hurt.
