Either way, I hope you enjoy the chapter!

"It feels like months since we've been home," Katherine said as she and Pix boarded the Tram. "But it's only been a week and a half."

Pix sighed. "I know. I just hope Uncle Winchester doesn't try to force-feed me pie," he grumbled, in reference to a dream he had.

Katherine gave him an odd look, snickering.

What would usually be a several hour trip took one and a half hours on the Tram, and the two of them were ecstatic to be back at the Capitol.

"Okay, we should head to the orchard first," Pix said as they walked through the city gates. "The temple is much farther, so we can go there later."

Katherine nodded. "That sounds like a good plan," she agreed.

They walked through the busy marketplace, Katherine struggling to turn down all of the samples she was offered as they made their way through. Pix laughed at her the whole time, much to her disliking.

"Would you stop?" Katherine groaned in mock annoyance. "Capitol food is so good!"

Pix laughed. "That's true."

"Pixl?"

The brunette perked up upon hearing a familiar voice. He glanced slightly to the side to see an older man with black hair that was beginning to grey and a scruffy little beard.

"And Katherine? What are you two doing home so soon?" he asked with a soft smile.

"Uncle Winchester!" the teenagers shouted in unison, rushing forward to hug him. "Oh, kids, it's so good to see you," Winchester said with a smile. He pulled away from them to get a good look at them, then gave them confused looks. "You two look... different."

Katherine and Pix looked at each other and laughed a bit.

"It's... a long story," Pix said shyly.

Winchester shook his head, chuckling. "I bet it is," he said. "Since you're here, you can help me do some shopping. Then I'll take you back to mine and Claire's and we can bake some pie together."

"Actually," Katherine said slowly, "we have some really important stuff to do here. We don't have time for shopping and baking, sorry."

Winchester gave a soft, understanding smile. "I figured you'd be too busy for your old pal Winchester. What is it you need to do? Perhaps I can help."

Pix nodded. "We do need your help, actually. We need to get into your froglight fruit orchard," he said. "It's really important."

"Follow me," Winchester said with a nod.

"Alright, where should I look first?" Jimmy thought aloud, standing in the doorway of the library. He scanned over the sections of genres. "Maybe I should start with the nonfiction. My ability had to do with the truth, so..." He walked over to the nonfiction section.
