I ran a frustrated hand through my slightly damp hair. The air conditioner in the car seemed useless as I felt yet another line of sweat trickling down my temples.
For the last 30 mins I have been stuck here in traffic hoping to see the green light but to no avail.
I looked at her sitting beside me peacefully.
Surveying her surroundings hoping to gather some more information about the fire that caused this huge traffic mess.

Why today out of all day? It took me 3 whole hours to plan a perfect date for her and here we are running late.
She looked so damn perfect in her pink top and grey denim skirt, her hair left open in beautiful subtle curls.
She seemed so calm and unfazed while I prayed to every deity watching us to let this day go as planned.
After fifteen minutes of more sweating, frustrating grunts and eagerly waiting — The red light finally flashed green, the cars roared to life running free like war captives freed after an eternity of confinement.

.....................

A beautiful smile bloomed on her face as she saw the board .

Disneyland Paris.

I have done and given things to people more than they deserve and yet I never got a reaction similar to hers.
A random warm hug from her filled me with joy, my heart purred at the new sensation she was making me feel. Sure those people were grateful but I never witnessed any genuine happiness in their face and here she appeared so happy as if I just announced her as the ruler of the world- I doubt she'll be this happy in that case.

Her unbounded excitement surrounded her like a halo, causing children to look at her with an equal amount of happiness. Her contagious smile proliferated as people glanced over at her.
That's my girl. Bright and Radiating like the moon.
Everywhere she goes she makes everyone believe in the humanity and goodness that we mundane humans thought was long dead, maybe you deserve someone better than me but I'll be damned to let you go.
In my dark life you're the only source of light I have .
My Moon.
My Silver Salvation.

"Asher is it just me or does it feel like there aren't many people around today?"

"Yeah it seems so maybe because it's a working day "
Liar. My subconscious snarked at me.
I looked around accepting the greetings of the people around, they all know me they all work for me.
I paid a hefty sum to rent this whole place out for today, but I was sure she won't be a great fan of the idea so I instructed my people to spread around dressed as other visitors.
Even if she finds something suspicious they have plenty of excuses to make like the one that currently stands in front of us.

"Can you click our picture mam"
Two young high schoolers seemed to be out on a date are actually bodyguards in training experts at spying and protecting.
Serena And Calleb – this duo is promising.
There is a part of an organisation that no one knows of, an establishment that allows people with no power, money or source to study, play sports and train them for a better future.
Even though I come from a rich family growing up was still not easy, there were leeches and parasites everywhere waiting to have a chance of exploiting a young child like me.
And I could only imagine how hard it would be for people like them who have no money and connection.
My eyes glued to her as she clicked a few more photos of them. Genuinely hoping to capture a perfect moment but nothing about this whole ordeal is genuine, it's staged by me as always.
Except You and Me nothing here is genuine.
From the moment I gained a clear understanding of this society I have been plotting staging and scripting plans to have things go my way.
I envy you at times that you didn't have to go through things I did  or maybe you went through things even worse than these, either way I find it commendable that you have such a beautiful heart that stands by nothing but kindness and humanity.
A harsh wind blew by carrying her scent with it; the sweet smell of vanilla washed over my senses -
a strong urge to have her pressed up against me, the need to have her close to me stirred within me.
A subtle flick of my finger was enough to make them understand the need to avoid the  unnecessarily prolonging interaction.
