Thomas- I woke slowly, shifting in the hammock, which caused Newt to whine in his sleep. His arms tightened around me, keeping me to him, and I smiled. I looked over at the other hammock and smiled even bigger when I saw Julia cuddled up in Gally's arms, smiles on both their faces. Then my brain registered the fact we weren't moving, the ship wasn't rocking slowly, the hammocks all around us were still. I sat up and looked out the window behind us; the sun was bright, and I saw trees everywhere. "Newt, wake up," I whispered excitedly, gently shaking his shoulder. He groaned. "Go back to sleep, Tommy," he answered, voice deep with sleep as he tried to pull me back down into the hammock. "No, Newt, wake up," I whispered again, removing his arms from my waist, and carefully running to the window. I almost cried at what was outside. "Come look, baby," I said, holding my hand out for Newt. He yawned, fluffed his hair, and walked over to the window. I watched as his eyes widened, then he ran over to Julia and Gally, waking them up. "Come on, Princess! Come look!" He dragged Julia, who dragged Gally, over to the window and pointed outside. Their expressions mirrored Newt's and Julia flung her arms around the two of us while Gally ran to wake up Minho and Fry. Soon all six of us stood near the window, our eyes bright and our smiles wide. Julia and Newt had tears in their eyes. Gally and Minho clapped me on the back, and Fry yanked me into a bone-crushing hug.
"We made it," I whispered in disbelief. Newt crashed our mouths together, and when he pulled away, he was smiling at me. "Didn't I tell you there's a place for us, Tommy?" I laughed and nodded. "I promised you guys we'd make it out and look where we are." Julia flung herself into my arms. "Thank you, Thomas." Gally placed a hand on my shoulder, nodding at me. We heard Vince and Jorge waking everyone up, people gasping or cheering when they realized we had made it to our new home. "You guys go ahead, okay?" Julia said, taking my hand in hers. The guys nodded and walked off with Brenda, Aris, and the girls. Newt kissed both our heads and followed. I met Julia's eyes and smiled, sheepishly. "So, now that my luck's run out, you still going to rip me apart?" I asked. She snorted and punched my arm. "After all the crap we've gone through? No, but I will beat you up for all the times you nearly got us killed." I barked out a laugh and flung my arm around her neck, pulling her into a hug. "Thanks for not killing Gally. Newt told me you punched him back in Denver." I gulped and rubbed the back of my neck. "I wouldn't do that to you, Julia. And don't worry, I don't hate him. Not anymore. I assume the feelings mutual?" she rolled her eyes but nodded. "Gally... Gally's always struggled to show he cares. He and Newt always try to be so strong; you know? But after what happened..." she paused, sighing, and I knew what she meant; Gally letting her go, accidently killing Chuck, losing all of us. "After what happened, he just broke. Wanted nothing more then to have his friends back, to take everything back."
"Hey," I stopped her, titling her chin up and smiling softly. "I get it, really, I do. He's rough around the edges. But after helping us, it'll make it easier to try and be friends." Julia's eyes widened and I smirked. "What? Didn't expect that I'd want to try? You're my best friend, he's your boyfriend. It's time he and I worked it all out, you know?" She sighed, deeply, and hugged me. "Give it time though; don't expect an easy fix. All you've had is anger between each other, that's a hard road to pave smoothly." "Okay, and I know you'll help, right?" She rolled her eyes and flicked my head. I wrapped my arm around her. "Come on, let's go home."
Minho- "You know, it's still weird to see them like that," I said, smirking at Julia and Thomas walking off the boat, arms locked around each other. "He told me he wanted to be friends with her, back when we were in the Scorch. Their dynamic is a lot like yours, so I'm glad it worked out," Newt said, watching them too. Fry laughed. "They're a nightmare when they fight, but no one can compete with you and her, Min." Gally and I snorted. "We wouldn't fight if he weren't such a shank," Julia said, smirking while I stuck my tongue at her. "No, we wouldn't fight if you weren't such a high-stepping bitch!" Thomas snorted, covering his mouth, trying not to laugh. Gally, as usual, smacked the back of my head while Newt lectured me on being nice. "Come on, let's go, everyone's waiting," Newt said, grabbing Thomas' hand and pushing Julia over to me. I slung my arm around her, half crushing her, half holding her. She hissed and punched my side but made no effort to leave. "It's so pretty here," she said, a look of awe in her eyes. "Yeah, peaceful too." I turned and watched the sun hit Julia, bathing her in the light, making her eyes sparkle, and I stopped her. "What?" she asked. "I don't think I've ever told you how amazing you are, Princess. Yes, you're a bitch and you drive me nuts, but in the end..." I trailed off, trying to not get emotional, fighting back tears. "In the end, your confidence, your toughness, all the love and joy you have... that's what made me want you as a friend. And I meant when I said I wouldn't trade it for anything." Her lip wobbled as she tried not to cry, but she was smiling.
