He set off in the early morning, having found a new form of motivation and hope from his talk with his older brother. He walked for what seemed to be forever when he saw a familiar place, wich he remembered was a place that Wei Ying loved to go to while he stayed at cloud recesses. He would sneek out and sit under a tree where the moon was always clear and beautiful, a couple of times, Lan Zhan had also sneaked out to stay there with the younger. He remembered how they would sit together under the bright and beautiful moonlight, he really missed times like those. These thoughts made him wonder, will he ever be able to create such memories with the younger again? Yes he was searching for Wei Ying at the moment because of what happened last night, but he couldn't help but have small voice in the back of his head telling him to not be to disappointed if he didn't find him as the chances were extremely low.
He turned a corner and saw a beautiful waterfall where he and Wei Ying used to go. When one of them was stressed or overwhelmed and needed confort, they would go there and talk to each other about what was bothering them and it would always help, they would stay there until the late nights where they were able to see the sky full of stars, it was a beautiful sight to see, especially when they didn't feel well, they would always leave peaceful and sleep well with no worries. Lan Zhan missed those moments, the younger would always bring a smile to his face, and now even tho he was gone he still came here to take his mind off of everything although it didn't always work as he had no one to talk too, wich saddened even more then he already was. He sat down on a rock that was near the waterfall where he would usually sit and started out into the distance and noticed that the sky had darkened.
It was night already and Lan Zhan had yet to find the younger, he was a little upset about the fact that there was still no trace of the younger but he decided not to get discouraged and to just sleep for as long as he could, so he got up and searched for a place to sleep. After a couple of minutes he found a small cavern, so he went in there and sat down, closing his eyes and falling asleep. Just like the previous night, he had a sort of vision of Wei Ying where he saw the younger, sitting in some sort of tree laughing at something, but as soon as he noticed the older starring at him, the sun that was shinning turned into a grey sky and the younger started to cry, Lan Zhan let a tear down his face as he felt helpless that he couldn't help him. He wanted to comfort him but he couldn't do anything. He then suddenly woke up covered in cold sweat, he looked around but wasn't surprised to see that he was the only one there.
After that, he tried to sleep again for the short time he had left to do so be he couldn't, he tried everything he could think of to sleep and one after the other it failed, so he just closed his eyes to be able to at least rest a little. What felt like only a couple of minutes since he had closed his eyes was actually couple of hours in reality, so it was no surprise that when he did open his eyes he still felt tired from not being able of sleeping for more than what seemed to be 3 hours and yet, he got up and almost immediately went out again to search for any signs of the younger. He kept searching for a long time and it was now noon and he still hadn't seen anything that could lead him to at least finding out if Wei Ying really was still alive but he didn't let that discourage him.
He continued to search all day and even at night as be couldn't sleep he decided to search until he would pass out of exhaustion, and then when he would wake up he would continue searching until he had looked everywhere and that he was 100% sure that there where no signs of Wei Ying whatsoever. After a couple of sleepless nights, Lan Zhan finally sat down near a tree and passed out from exhaustion and slept for hours, he really needed it tho, he had not stopped walking, he barely ate or drank anything and he hadn't slept in a couple of days already so it was understandable that he was absolutely tired. Once he woke up, he felt something was wrong, je looked around trying to find a problem or something that could have set him off but found nothing, that is until he turned to look straight ahead again and got startled to see the same sort of spirit of Wei Ying that had first came to him, the first sigh of Wei Ying since that dreadful day.
He starred at the man that stood before him with wide eyes with visible shock in them." Wei Ying". He said as if questioning if this really was him seing correctly or if this was just his imagination playing tricks on him." I miss you so much, i'm so sorry for not being able to come". He said as he started crying. Lan Zhan wanted to hug him so bad but when he tried his arm went thru Wei Ying." It's ok, i'll find you Wei Ying". Said Lan Zhan as he tried to hold back his tears as he watched Wei Ying evaporate into the air like he did the first time. Lan Zhan felt horrible, he wanted to comfort the younger but he didn't even know where he was or if he was even alive, Lan Zhan internally wanted to break down but he stayed strong and kept moving forward.
