They all looked at each other as Xichen started to talk." So, i think we can all agree that it is not safe yet for Wei Wuxian to go out yet". Said the older Lan as the other two boys nodded at his statement, both agreeing that it would be best to keep Wei Ying in cloud recesses for a while. They both talked for a while until they agreed on everything and every single arrangements that there could before the youngest amongst the three. Wei Ying would be sleeping in Lan Zhan's room, which was made very clear by Lan Zhan himself who firmly decided for the younger, who didn't object at all, not minding the thought of being able to hug the older to comfort himself in forgetting everything that happened in the past. He knew that would eventually have to talk to the older about it but for now he just wanted to enjoy being around Lan Zhan again after so long of not being able too.
The two brothers knew that Wei Ying would be having a hard time with not being able to go out considering that he is very restless but they figured that being able to walk around cloud recesses would be enough for him for the next few months until they are able to figure out how to calm down everyone and make it safe for Wei Ying to be able to go out safely. But for now the younger was just happy that he was able to go outside at all and not be forced to stay in Jingshi all day, as if that was the case he would just die from boredom." I think it's safe if Wei Ying walks around here, i know that maybe some of the elders may not approve but they can't do anything about it, and i'm very convincing. Wei Wuxian, you are free to do anything and make yourself at home, just try not to cause trouble like before". Said the older as he chuckled seing the way the mentioned boy blushed from embarrassment.
The boy nodded as he also laughed at himself remembering all of the mischief that he used to cause, Lan Zhan looked at him and smiled from his cuteness, which of course did not go unoticed by his older brother, who was sitting there and looking at his younger brother with a smirk as the latter turned ans saw his brother's expression causing him to blush from being caught starring at the boy, making his brother smirk even more at him, he now knew that his little brother had a thing for Wei Ying, feelings that are more than friendship. After further discussion the two thanked the older and we're about to leave as Xichen walked them to the door when the Lan turned to his brother." May i speak to Wangji in private for just a minute please?". He asked as he pulled his brother by his shoulder back inside of his room and closed the door.
Lan Zhan looked at him knowing what he was going to talk to him about and pretended to be oblivious to the best of his abilities. " What is it xiongzhang?". He asked as he looked at the ground for a second before looking back at the man trying not to look suspicious, although that didn't work as his brother raised an eyebrow in a questioning manner." Brother, don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to pry, but i saw the way you look at Wuxian, is there something going on between you two?". He asked as he looked at his little brother knowingly. Lan Zhan sighed as he out the window and saw Wei Ying crouched down playing with a small white bunny resulting in Lan slightly blushing and smiling at the boy as he nodded to his brother." Does he know?". Asked Xichen as his eyes softened significantly more than before.
Lan Zhan looked down at the floor once again as he didn't answer his brother's question, Xichen figuring that the younger boy did infact not know about Lan Zhan's feelings." Why do you not tell him?". Asked Xichen as he leaned on the wall to look at his brother." I, i don't want to add on... to his worries". Replied the younger Lan as he starred at his brother and then at the younger boy that was playing cheerfully outside. Xichen sighed at the response as he looked at his brother sympathetically, he felt bad that his brother felt that he would pressure the young boy even tho he knew that Wei Ying was a very understanding person and he would never hurt his younger brother, plus he had seen the way he looked at Lan Zhan, he cared for him and even if he hadn't admitted that to himself yet, the older Lan knew something for sure, the two cared for each other a lot, and there was no denying that.
The two brothers looked at each other as Lan Zhan broke the eye contact to look at Wei Ying." Wangji, i know he cares for you the way you care for him, it's visible in the way he stares at you". Said Lan Xichen to his little brother. Lan Zhan looked back to his brother's sympathetic stare, he knew that his brother was probably right, but he couldn't tell, they had only been reunited for not more than two days. Although when he looked back to the days before that unfortunate accident, the two were really close and we're always together, practically inseparable, especially Wei Ying, he would always bother the older and walk with him and cling to him, most people thought that he was annoying the older but in reality Lan Zhan actually enjoyed the younger's presence a lot, it was actually very comforting to him to have such a bubbly person around even though that wasn't really visible Wei Ying knew that he wasn't annoying the older as he knew that if he was the older would just tell him to shut up or try to escape off to somewhere, but he never did.
