Surprise

Josh's POV:

I woke up with the sun shining down on my tear-stained face. I got up and went to the bathroom to wash my face, hoping that it would get rid of the stains. I then walked over to the drawer by my bed and picked up my beanie and slipped it on before leaving my room and going to the kitchen where Eddie was drinking a cup of coffee. 

"Morning Josh, how are you feeling?" Eddie asked as he handed me a cup of coffee he had made for me. 

"I still can't believe what coach told us last night. I don't want to believe it." I replied as I took a sip of coffee. Eddie watched me before giving me a small smile. 

"I'm not believing it because I know Essendon wouldn't do that shit again." Eddie said as he placed his mug on the bench before walking over to the cupboard to grab some cereal. 

"Yeah, you're probably right." I replied as I watched Eddie pour the Nutri-grain into a bowl before walking over to the fridge to grab the milk. 

"Anyway, do you want to have a boy's day out today. Just me and you?" Eddie asked and I nodded my head as I finished my coffee and put the mug in the sink. 

"Yeah sure. I need to take my mind off some things." I replied as I mind wondered back to thinking about Mully and the dinner we had last night. 

"Amazing. Is that Mully's hoodie?" Eddie asked as he looked down and noticed the hoodie I was wearing. 

"Yeah, I kind of forgot to give it back to him last night." I replied as I rubbed the back of my neck with my hand as a slight blush formed on my cheeks. 

"That's sweet. Maybe you shouldn't give it back, so you have something that reminds you of him." Eddie said and I shook my head. 

"Nah, then he'd think I stole it. Anyway, I got to go get ready for the day." I replied before quickly walking away and going to my room to get changed. The only thing I didn't change was Mully's hoodie because something about wearing it just felt right. 

Eddie's POV:

I sat down on the couch as I turned on my phone to text my friend because we both had made a plan that we were hoping would work. 

Eddie: Have you gotten Mully to agree with a boy's day out? 

Gaege: Yeah, has Josh agreed with it?

Eddie: Yup. Where are we going to accidently bump into each other? 

Gaege: How about at the park near the MCG? It would be extremely romantic.   

Eddie: Perfect. And then we run away so they have to work together to get back to the hotel. 

Gaege: Love it. See you soon Eddie. 

I turned my phone off and looked up to see Josh in front of me still wearing Mully's hoodie. I smiled as I stood up, slipping my phone in my hoodie's pocket. 

"You ready to go?" I asked and Josh nodded so we left our room and went to ground floor by using the elevator. We then went to the front and waited for an Uber I had called earlier. 

Josh's POV:

Eddie and I climbed out of the uber when we arrived at the park near the MCG. It was one of the most beautiful places I'd ever seen and that's saying something because I've been all over Australia. It also a lovely place to come to with your boyfriend or girlfriend. 

"Why did you choose to come here?" I asked and Eddie shrugged his shoulders as he looked down at me with a mischievous smile on his face.

"Just because it's a nice place to be when you need to clear your head." He replied shrugging his shoulders as we walked around for a bit stopping to look at the beautiful flowers every now and then.
