*Time skip to Christmas*
Josh's POV:I woke up with the sun shining down on me as I quickly jumped up with a massive smile on my face. It was finally Christmas! Mully had said he wanted to sleep in so I quietly tip toed out of the room and went to the loungeroom where Ruby was asleep on the couch. I grabbed my phone from it's place on the bench and turned it on.
Josh: Hey Eddie. Are you and Gaege still coming down for dinner?
Eddie: Of course! And then we'll stay for the night and leave in the morning.
Josh: I can't wait to see you again. I still can't believe it's only been two months.
Eddie: Neither. Have you and Mully finished planning for the wedding yet?
Josh: Yeah, we just need to call all the places and then we can get married.
Eddie: Oh well. I got to go; Gaege is running around the loungeroom singing.
Josh: Lol, see you later Eddie.
I turned my phone off and slipped it into my pocket as I sat down on the couch next to Ruby. I gave her a gentle pat on the top of her head, and she picked her head up to look at me. She then rested it back down again as I kept patting her. I then sighed bored that Mully still wasn't awake yet. I stood up deciding to go outside and feed the horses.
"Come on Ruby." I said and Ruby got up and jumped off the couch as she followed me outside. We walked over to the paddock, and I grabbed the two buckets while King and Mischief walked over to the fence. I took the buckets over to the shed and filled them up with grain before taking them back to the paddock.
"Here you go. Merry Christmas." I said as I placed the buckets down and gave both horses a gentle pat on the neck. I then walked back inside with Ruby right on my heel. I was tired of waiting for Mully so I went to the bedroom to wake him up.
"Dashing through the bush in a rusty holden Ute." I sang at the top of my lungs as I jumped up and down on the bed with Ruby watching me from her spot on the floor. Mull tossed and turned before looking up at me with a grumpy expression on his face.
"Josh! Can you shut up? I told you I wanted to sleep in!" He yelled and I shook my head as I stopped jumping and looked down at him.
"I'm getting bored of waiting for you to wake up." I replied and he rolled his eyes as he rolled over onto his side.
"Well, you can wait for longer. I'm not getting up yet." He stated as he pulled the blanket over his body and tried to go back to sleep. I rolled my eyes as I went back to jumping on the bed.
"Kicking up the dust, eski in the boot." I continued singing and Mully groaned before looking back up at me again.
"Fine, I'll get up." Mully said tiredly as he rubbed his eyes. He then got out of the bed, and I jumped off the bed into his arm. He caught me as I wrapped my arms around him.
"Merry Christmas Mully!" I shouted happily and he moved his head away not liking the loud sound of my voice.
"Merry Christmas Josh. Now go to the loungeroom so I can get changed." He replied as he carefully placed me on the ground. I nodded my head as I ran out of the room with Ruby right on my heel.
Mully's POV:
I quickly got changed into black hoodie and black sweatpants before walking into the loungeroom where Josh had Christmas carols playing from the speakers. I rolled my eyes as I walked into the kitchen to make a cup of coffee. As I was pouring the milk on Josh snuck up behind me and slipped a Santa hat onto my head.
