Katsuki pov:

My stupid face lit up at Deku's response minutes later, I knew that nerd still had it in him to become a hero. I knew deep down he still wanted to try despite not having a quirk. I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that he'd probably be in a UA uniform in no time. I had serious faith in him.

Since that day, that long walk on the beach made me realize some things. He wasn't that scared middle school kid anymore. He looked more confident, he wasn't afraid to talk back anymore. And I think that certain aspect of himself made me like him even more.

I'm still here flopped onto bed like a lazy shit just thinking. I get up and for the first time in history I do something productive, my homework.

Tsukauchi pov:

I get a call from Izuku as I get into my car, when I said I was gonna keep tabs on him I really meant it. I really wanted to see this kid live again, despite all his circumstances. I felt responsible for that in a way. So when he randomly hit me up today about UA I almost hit the gas too hard and jerked forward in my car.

"You're going to UA! That's cool Izuku!" I practically yelled through the phone. He murmured sheepishly through the other line, but I was too excited too pay attention to his words. I held the phone up to my ear swerving through traffic.

"I said I merely signed up for general education..." He reiterated. I was still so excited though that Izuku was doing great things for himself.

"So? UA's general education course still has awesome opportunities!" I babbled through the phone, Izuku hummed in response. "Wanna engineer hero costumes? You're great at that Izuku, you know it." The line went silent, almost as if Izuku had been contemplating my words.

"I didn't tell my mom that signed up, she can be...you know, overprotective." He muttered, I paused. I knew from previous conversations I had with Izuku that he still had issues with his mother, but I knew Izuku would be happy at UA. I thought of the right words to tell him.

"I know people, I know All Might, I'm sure we can get your mom on the same page and set you up with a few connections." I gleamed, satisfied at my response. It's as if I could almost visualize Izuku nodding on the other line.

"When the time comes, and your acceptance letter comes in...which by the way, I know you definitely will..." I said stopping mid sentence to honk at another car causing traffic, stupid drivers. "Sorry, I was saying...I'll find a way to convince your mom, she likes me...I think." I let out a short breath, Izuku snorted on the other line.

"Thanks." Was all Izuku said. I smiled, furiously swerving lanes. "Always kid."
