I'm not sure why I waited a whole day to tell anyone about UA but I dialed up Tsukauchi, he should be the first to know. I plopped into bed as I held the phone waiting.
"Hey kid! What's up?" Tsukauchi picked up.
"Nothing much, busy?" I said trying to sound as nonchalant as possible.
"I'm afraid there's piles of paperwork, can people just stop committing crimes for a day?" He groaned.
"Bad timing?" I asked.
"Never, I'd always have time for you!" He barked back.
I smiled pausing for a moment.
"What's up miracle kid?" He said. Oh right, I sat up with a huge smile on my face trying to find the proper way to deliver the news.
"Oh you know the usual, a hospital visit, UA acceptance letter." I said, he'd find out about my hospital visit either way so might as well throw that in there.
"I knew it, you know, you're a smart ass- wait. Hospital?"
"Yea I had a panic attack or something, not serious-"
"You alright?"
I paused before I could answer him.
"I am now." I replied.
"Good. Congratulations!"
"They work fast, on those applications I mean." I said.
"Perhaps." Tsukauchi chuckled on the other end.
"Is that your doing?" I questioned.
"Man, they really love me over there!" Is all he said.
I laughed before going silent.
"Mom knows?" He asked.
"She cried, like good tears! I'm just glad she wasn't mad that I didn't tell her." I said with a cheeky smile, of course you can't see that through the phone but, you'd ought to know.
"I'm glad."
"Me too!"
~I hung up the phone after a lengthy conversation with Tsukauchi and headed to bed early. I would've called Kacchan but I think I'll surprise him then and there, the whole spiel.
_Saturday, 7:18 am.
So it's official, I start on Monday. I thought paperwork would take awhile, turns out mom filled out the necessary forms literally the same day I received that acceptance letter. The world works fast, I have to catch up.
I'm scrolling through my emails and yup, there's everything I need. Schedules, where to buy uniforms, dorm move in times. I look around my bedroom, sitting in my bed. Tons and tons of All Might merch I'd have to haul in. Will I really need it all?
Maybe just one figurine.
General Course here I come! They pay engineers more these days anyways, right? Heroics are overrated anyways!
