"Adelaide Jane Reyes, to the office." The speaker sounded on a hot summer day at school. AJ frowned in confusion as lots of students looked at her wile she was in the back of the class drawing on her desk."What did you do now? Hook up with Mrs. Smith?" Sarah Cameron jokingly asked making the class laugh as AJ ignored her. She totally despised her. When she spread the rumour about now your old best friend you cut her off. And guess what, she snatched your boyfriend right after. "Don't make me cave your face in like last time, bitch." She said changing her mind when she reached the door. "Adelaide, out! Now, you're disturbing my lesson." The female French teacher known as Mrs. Dupont said as Adelaide mimicked her French accent. "Not like anyone wants to be here anyways, bonjour bitch!" She said as she slammed the door closed after she left walking down the hall and hearing some angry French noises from behind her.

She opened her principal's office his door. She raised her brows hoping for an explanation. The principal also known as Mr van Bergen cleared his throat as AJ leaned in the door frame. When AJ looked around the room she noticed her mom and her stepdad. "What did I do now?" She asked when van Bergen signaled her to sit down on the chair next to her parents. She glanced at the principal before obeying. It was weird how she just randomly got called there finding her parents. "Why is he here, he isn't even my real dad." She asked when her mother kicked her foot gently. "I have decided that Adelaide Jane does not belong in my school, her behavior is unacceptable and intolerable." He said when she smiled in recognition. "That's why, I've decided that Adelaide should be sent away from here." He said when the happy smile turned into a confused smile. "What? Does that mean my summer starts early?" She asked when the principal shook his head. "No that means you have to go to that stupid Pogue school." Your stepdad spoke when she smiled brightly. "I hope you're happy." Her mom said when she nodded. "I am, super happy." She said when the principal talked with her parents and told them to sign papers and stuff.

When Adelaide slipped away she came across her ex boyfriend in the hallway walking with her ex-best friend. She stared them down as she saw her look back and chuckle. She saw two girls whisper and look at her and a group of guys laugh at her. She exited the school as getting followed by her 'friend' who was laughing at her approaching her. "I think," she laughed. "Hey, bloody pussy." Adelaide sighed, not embarrassed, not upset but disappointed. "Get out of my fucking face." She said when she pushed her away, she Adelaide doesn't need friends, she's better off on her own. She walked towards her bike and stepped on it driving back home.

A few weeks ago she had bled through on her period. Some unfunny person decided to make a picture and put it in their story. She then heard the front door open and close. She decided to change out of her uncomfortable school uniform before checking it out. She peeked down the stairs seeing her parents come in. "Adelaide!" They shouted when she slowly walked down. "What is the deal with you? Can't you just act right like anyone else?" Her mom asked as she sat down on the 3rd step of the stairs she took not wanting the unwanted to happen. "Get down here." Her stepdad ordered when she stopped and softened her gaze. "Promise you won't hurt me." She harshly said when standing up. "Whatever... I promise, now get the hell down!" He shouted raising his voice at last. When she flinched but obeyed and he held her by her collar. "I've worked my butt off, just so you get could good education and this is how you pay me back?" He asked when she whimpered. "I never asked you to do that." She shouted pushing him off. "I never asked for a child too." He responded when she punched him in his stomach not making him twitch. He pushed her away from him onto the coffee table. Her mom watched with a guilty look on her face as he punched her in the face. He then walked upstairs as Adelaide stood up wiping her face.

She walked out of her house with a busted lip and an eye that started to bruise. She revved the motor on her dirt bike. She sat down under a tree fort. The one her dad built for her. Whenever times though she'd find herself there. She laid on the floor with her knees bent.

'Dear Dad, do you ever think it'll be okay? I mean I try my best but something in my brain doesn't want to. I need a motive. Please help me. I have no good friends and moms starting to hate me. I hate her new boyfriend because he hurts me. He promised he won't but did it anyways. I always get yelled at by everyone, even if it isn't my fault, I get the bla-.'

Her thoughts got cut off when she flinched at the sound of a reviving motor. "Don't, kill me!" She shouted when she opened her eyes seeing a blonde fall off his dirt bike. She stood up and walked over. "I'm so sorry!" She said as she helped him get up. "It's okay, princess." He said when she got all numb as she admired his beautiful blonde messy hair, his icy blue eyes, and the little smirk plastered on his face. "Are you okay?" She asked when she snapped out of her thoughts. He nodded. "Could've been worse, what are you doing here?" He asked as he kicked some leaves Away. "Annoying parents." She said when he let out a little breathy laugh. "What happened? You didn't get a new phone?" He said when she looked at him confused. "Why do you think that?" She asked when he shrugged and looked at the floor. "I don't know," he then looked up at her and grabbed her chin. "Because you're a kook." He said when she shoved him away. "Well clearly, you know nothing about my home situation, Maybank." She said as she sat down against a tree. "Alright, sorry." He said as he sat down next to her when she eyed him and then looked down at her shoes. "Penny for your thoughts?" He said when she laughed. "Do you even have a penny?" She jokingly asked when he shook his head. "Nope." He said when she sighed. "I got sent away from school and I need to move to Kildare County High." She explained when the blonde looked at her. "I go there, is it really that bad?" He asked when she shook her head. "It's not like I go to school anyways, my parents just didn't take it well, especially my stepdad." She said chuckling when the blonde realized. "You- your dad hurts you?" He asked uneasily when she shook her head gently. "Well, we have matching lips, so it's okay." He said pointing to his busted lip awkwardly. She noticed his uneasiness so she decided to change the subject. "You hang out with Kie, right?" She asked looking at him. "Yup." He nodded when she looked away and gently nodded. "Why'd you ask?" He asked when she shrugged. "Old friend of mine." She answered when he cleared his throat. "She told us about you. About how you stuck up for her." He told Adelaide when you furrowed her brows and looked at her. "She's not mad at me?" She asked when he shook his head. "Why do you think that?" He wondered when she shrugged again. "I should've known Sarah was bothering Kie at the beginning but I was too fucking blind to see. And when I did I was too late. I hated the way people treated her after they assumed she snitched on them so I took the blame and stuck up for her." She explained when JJ tilted his head. "Then why would she be mad?" He asked when she thought for a while. "I just assumed she was because if she wasn't she would've reached out to me instead of ditching me like that." She sighed in between her sentences. "But, maybe she's found her new friend group, and I'm happy for her that she slums with people that are not toxic and backstabbing ." She said with a slight smile on her face when the blonde had a concerned look on his face. "That's, cute." He said nodding when she nodded along with him. "So I'm assuming you still hang out with toxic people." He said in a questioning manner. "You saw the video didn't you?" She asked with a little disappointed smile on her face when he nodded. "It's okay, new school fresh start. Maybe we could hang out sometime." He said when she turned to look at him happily. "You want to hang out with me?" She asked when he nodded in response.
