We arrived at the school and got out of the cars. We already decided the different assignments, we just had to decide who does what.

"Okay, everybody listen up." Hopper started, "Wheelers, you get the water supply, just have to connect the pipe with the hose. You two" He pointed at Lucas and Dustin, "Get the kiddie pool set up in the gym. Joyce, you see if you can find something to make goggles for the kid. Byers, Y/L/N, you're with me, getting the salt." He instructed.

"Y/L/N?" it was fair to say that everyone except Hopper was confused at the name, but after the reaction he furrowed his brows looking at me.

"Oh, yeahhhh, right I said that was my name, right? Funny story actually...I lied. My name's Winchester." I smiled at him, trying to not make him angry.

"Are you serious? Why would you tell me that your name was y/l/n?" He inquired, irritated.

"Well...I think we have more important things to do right now." I changed the topic with a shrug of my shoulders. He looked at me with his mouth open slightly.

"You lied to a cop? You know that's a felony, right?" he asked confused and a bit angry.

"Yeah, well I didn't think I'd still be here to have this conversation, but things changed and here I am." I answered annoyed. "Now, can we go and get the salt?" I questioned.

Hopper let out a sigh and nodded for me and Jonathan to follow him. Everyone went their way and got ready. The three of us got to the storage room for salt.

We were putting the bags in a wheelbarrow when the Byers boy asked.

"Hey, wait. It's not gonna snow next week, is it?"

"Worst case: no school." Hopper answered.

"Even if we find Will in there...what are we gonna do about that thing?" Jonathan asked again.

"We're not gonna do anything. I don't want you anywhere near this all right? Your mom's been through enough already." The chief responded, looking at him and then to me. "And you, don't do anything stupid."

I narrow my eyebrows and have an offended look on my face. I catch the bag Jonathan throws at me and mutter under my breath as I put it away.

"Yeah, sure, old man."

He looked at me with furrowed brows before Jonathan spoke up again, stopping the argument that was probably about to begin. "He's my brother."

"Listen, I'm gonna find him, all right? You're gonna have to trust me on this, I'm gonna find him" Hopper answered reassuringly as he put his arm on Jonathan's shoulder for a moment.

We then continued getting the bags of salt and then drove them towards the gym. We filled the kiddie pool with water and put in the salt, next to the pool we put the radio so we can hear what's going on. Everything was ready now.

Eleven took off her watch and put on the goggles Joyce made. Ms. Byers and I led her into the water, I was on El's left and Joyce on her right. Next to me was the chief. El sat down in the water and then she was laying down and floating. The lights started to flicker, and the electricity was surging for a moment. We looked around and then back towards El. She let out a deep breath after a second and it was silent as we were waiting for her to tell us what she was seeing.

"Barbara?" She questioned shakily, her breath sped up and she gasped. The lights were flickering one more time. I tensed a bit.

"What's going on" Nany asked.

"I don't know" her brother replied. "Is Barb okay? Is she okay?" She was now looking at El.

"Gone! Gone!" Eleven repeated over and over again, her breathing picked up and her voice was shaky. I looked at her in concern and started to talk to her.
