Chapter 11

I was standing on the dock, yawning a bit from barely being awake. I got to the boat around 5:30 since if Bakugo said 6, then he would literally show up at 6. Why did we have to go exploring so early? I didn't even get to eat food because I was afraid I was going to be late for this stupid exploring time. I wondered why he wanted me to join him and not Kirishima, I figured Kirishima would be the best choice. Kirishima would love this kind of stuff, not me. I yawned a bit, as I wanted to sit down, but then an explosion happened by my feet.

"AHH!!" I screamed, jumping an inch away and looking to the side to see the one person I was waiting for.

"Morning FireBitch." Bakugou spoke with a toothy grin on his face.

"You bastard! You can't do that to me!" I whispered, shouting at him as he only laughed it off.

"Didn't think you be here so damn early. It ain't even 6 yet." He began talking, but my mind wasn't even here at the moment to listen to him. 

I watched him, place his bag down and him crouching down, soon looking through his bag. I continued to stare at him as he was wearing some shorts and a tank top, but he had a jacket tied around his waist. I stared at his features, wondering what unique marks I could find if I stared at him long enough. My mind went back to the almost kiss we had yesterday in the water. It had to be real, because last time I wanted to do that, he slapped me. He was confusing, made me wonder if he ever had this problem before. A girl crushing on him or showing a bit of interest in him. I was out of my thoughts when I watched him stand back up with his bag on his back. He was holding a flashlight since it was still pretty dark outside.

"You ready, FireBitch?" He asked as he began walking.

"Of course I'm ready, idiot" I mumbled, following after him but really close since he had the flashlight.

It was really good to have some one on one time with him. The hike so far was going good, there were no insults and we weren't wanting to kill each other. Plus the bonus of this hike was that I can see his back muscles and oh my god, I just want to let my hands roam his back to feel those muscles. But I have to control myself, we're young and he probably doesnt want that kind of relationship. As we continued our hike, he had put the flashlight away when the sun began to rise, which woke up some birds. He helped me sometimes over some rocks or fallen trees, which it felt nice. 

However we moved upwards during the hike, it felt my body was getting more heated. I wanna say it was from hiking non-stop or from the sun but we took small breaks to catch our breaths and drink water. And the sun was barely even fully up in the sky, so I just didn't know. I didn't want him to worry so I did my best to not show how tired I was from my body heating up. But for him, he seemed to notice very quickly how exhausted I have been. 

"Here, we can rest here" He spoke, grabbing my hand and leading me to a tree stump. He helped me sit down, crouching down to look through his bag.

"I don't need to rest, Bakugo. I was fine continuing our hike." I spoke softly as he just shook his head.

"Yeah well I need a break.." I knew he was lying, he never really took breaks. He was doing it for me, I could tell because he took out a small towel and poured some of his water on it before handing it to me.

I smiled a bit, taking the towel and placing it on my hands. That's where I wanted the towel for right now, I'll worry about my forehead and anywhere else that I need the towel later. He continued to look through the bag as he then pulled out some snacks, making my stomach grumble which made him laugh. I wanted to argue with him but I could only smile when I heard his laugh. He handed me a snack, and then kinda sat next to me with his snack. We ate in silences, making me wonder if there was anything we should talk about. I mean I enjoy the silence but I just wish I had more details about yesterday. The Almost Kiss.
