I stood there, panicking as I held the device in my hands. I didn't know what to do, do I do what the chiefess said and stop this or get them on the boat and leave. Even the villain wanted me to stop this but I can't. I'm scared...

"Daddy! I wanna be like you!" The little girl exclaimed as the older man chuckled, picking up his daughter and holding her on his hip.

"You want to be a hero like your old man? Why do you want to be a hero, (Y/n)?" The man asked as the little (Y/n) frowned a bit as she shrugged her shoulders.

"I don't know daddy, all I know is mommy wants me to be a hero. So I want to be a hero!" The little (Y/n) smiled before she was taken out of her fathers arms and being held by her mother.

"Time for training, (y/n). Say goodbye to your father.." The woman spoke in a demanding tone as she walked away with her daughter.

"Bye bye daddy! I'm going to be a hero like you!"

That's what I told my dad when I was 5 years old, when my quirk activated. That's when my mom started training me so that I can be number one. I wanted to be hero like my dad, but I never had a reason on why I wanted to be a hero. It was a kids dream was it not?

"You never had friends before?" Mina asked as she was painting my nails.

"No I never had time to make friends.." I softly spoke to her, watching her paint my nails a orange color likes flames.

"Well now you have friends! Everyone in the class sees you as a friend so you can check that off your bucket list!" Mina exclaimed, as she looked up at me with a smile.

"Bucket list? What's that?" I questioned, as she stared at me before bursting out with laughter. Soon I was laughing as well.

It was the third night on the boat, when me and Mina decided to stay up very late and bond together. She asked me so many questions about my life, and when she asked me about friends, I knew the answer to that. I was never allowed to make friends because my mother said they were weak, but here I was making friends with kids just like me. I glanced at the device in my hand, thinking about what my dad said. Why did I want to be a hero? I glanced over at the girls, watching them guide the villagers towards the boat. My friends were acting like heroes, making me wonder what the fuck was I doing? I am standing here doing nothing while my friends do something.

I looked back at the volcano, watching the lava flow down the top of the volcano. It was only a matter of time before the lava hits the forest and everything will be on fire. I know what I had to do, the villain was right, only I can stop this. I start running towards the girls, my eyes finding where Mina was and continuing to run. Mina was helping the chiefess walk, but stopped when she noticed I was running towards her. I stood infront of her, grabbing her hand and placing the device in it.

"What's this, (Y/n)?" She asked, looking at me confused.

"As soon as you get to the boat, press the button. A signal will be sent to my dad's agency and he'll be coming right away. Promise me, you'll do this!" I shouted at her, watching her nod her head quickly.

"I don't see why I have to do if you are coming to the boat too, (Y/n)" She spoke to me, as I looked at the chiefess. The chiefess smiled at me, nodding her head knowing what I was doing.
