Chapter 32

I stared at Bakugo as I was hooked on the words he said. That didn't mean anything, right? He doesn't like me, he was just trying to say that so he can have my guard down. That had to be it, it has too. I shook my head and laughed a bit, taking what he said as a joke. Because there was no way, Bakugo Katsuki likes me.

"That's a lie, you never liked me." I spoke as he took a step forward, looking down at me.

"On the island, you were about to kiss me but I stopped you. You left after we got into an argument but you had fainted. I brought you back to the boat, and Half n Half helped cool you down. Then you avoided me like the plague and I was furious with you because I wanted to be by your side, so I knew you were okay" Bakugo began to speak as I quietly listened to him. "We went for a hike, you got exhausted the more we walked up the island, so we took breaks so you can catch a breather. No matter how hard you tried about saying you were okay, I knew you weren't. Then it was the day the volcano erupted, we all were separated and Mina came back to the boat with the device from your father. You weren't with her and I was scared something happened to you, but as the boat was leaving the island, I saw you at the tip of the volcano. I wanted to stop you because I knew about the scars on your body. How its effect your quirk, but these extras kept me from stopping you. But the moment I saw you falling, my body moved on its own to get to you"

I stared at him, feeling so speechless as I was listening to every word he spoke. He saved me, he really did save me from falling. I glanced down at the photo in my hand as I just stared at all of us, smiling towards the camera. Expect Bakugo as he was looking at me in the photo. It started to come back to me, everything that happened on the island, the real truth. I looked back up at Bakugo as he was looking at me with a grin. I looked at everyone else as they were all smiling at me, but I couldn't help but to feel guilty for everything that has happened. I looked over at Mina as I took another step forward to her as she did as well. I wanted to hug her and tell her that I'm sorry for everything that has happened. But before I could do anything or anyone, the ground began to shake again but this time it was worse.

Buildings began to collapse, the one behind us began to collapse and tilt down towards us. We all made a run for it, although the photo in my hand slipped out. I stopped running, turning around and jogged over to it. I heard my name being yelled, as I crouched down to grab the photo. Mr. Aizawa needed it back so I had to get it back for him. I grabbed the photo, standing up straight and looked back, seeing Shoto and Bakugo running towards me. Although it seemed to get darker, which was a bit strange so I looked behind me and noticed the building getting much closer towards me. I was about to be crushed, I tried boosting myself but my fire wasn't working. Don't tell me, I'm mentally exhausted from using my quirk so much. I looked over at Shoto and Bakugo, knowing they weren't going to make it towards me either.

Am I going to die? Is this building going to crash me? Maybe I deserve it, maybe this is how I'm suppose to die. I killed innocent people, I destroy an island that belonged to people and I hurt my friends. Maybe this is how my story is suppose to go, I learned the truth of what happened to me from my friends and this building was going to kill me. Everything felt like it was going slow motion, the noises I could only here were the sound of my heavy breathing and the pounding of my own heart against my chest. I never got to apologize to my mom, I've been a horrible daughter to her and I may never get the chance to say sorry. I looked down at the photo in my hand and smiled a bit before looking over at Bakugo and Shoto. I gave them the biggest smile as the building came crashing down.

I was standing in the hallway as I looked around, noticing I was back in the mansion. My house, but how did I get here? Oh that's right, I'm dead, the building had crushed me so this must be the afterlife. I heard chatting and laughter downstairs so I began to make my way downstairs. I stopped when I was at the stairs because I could've sworn I saw Touya at the other end of the hallway but when I blinked my eyes, there was nothing there. I shrugged it off, walking down the stairs, the chatting and laughter getting louder as I made my way to the dinning room. When I entered, it was my parents, my brother and his family. Then there was Bakugo as well. This was my afterlife? I love it already, I smiled big, walking over to my seat which was beside Bakugo and my mom.  I looked over at everyone, but noticed Touya wasn't here. That was was strange, he should be here since he's my nephew.
