Home at last.

The ceremony in New York went off without incident. Soon we were back home in Detroit, where Connor and I were packing up the apartment. While we were away in the Big Apple Markus had spots of land reserved for us, contracts were made with construction androids and the state to begin building and the progression of it all left me feeling blindsided.

"They've already built several homes for people, stores, cab and bus depots... It's just, so incredible. We're finally going to live normally. It's insane." Connor sat down at the table as Simon, Josh and Maria came in to get more boxes. I was fully recovered but Connor didn't want to risk anything falling on me or tripping. I think he's having a hard time shaking his nurse Connor program, it was cute at first but now it's getting a little out of hand.

"The winds of change are blowing fast babe, and it's time for us to follow it." I smiled and stood up and went toward one of the boxes.

"My love let me get that for you."

"Connor it's just pictures of me Hank and Mom."

"Selene-"

"Babe, it's ok, just watch my six."

"Your six?"

"Just follow behind me." I kept my tone calm and his eyes relaxed some.

"I think that's the last box guys." Josh and the others came and joined us at the door.

"Off we go, to our new lives." I smiled at them.

The ride there seemed to last for hours, the land ceded by state was about 20 minutes from the capital, the area annexed for us was surprisingly bare, there was so much forest area it would of taken ages for everything to be cleared and built. But thankfully we had many willing androids who wanted to see their nation built quickly so they could reap the benefits.

"Look everyone! The gate isn't much farther." Simon spoke up from the front seat.

A translucent shield could be seen in the distance, some cars were already going through. Rather than have android and human police officers sitting by to scan IDs the shield would verify who's who and who was allowed in by either their social or serial number. It was a concept taken from the way Cyberlife used to identify their androids.

A banner appeared as we passed through. Welcome to Deviant Nation, Selene, Connor, Josh, Simon and Maria.

"Oh my God you guys look at this place!" Maria cheered and opened the sunroof to peak her head out for a minute and I got on my knees to pop my head out too.

They had succeeded in building the necessities already, all that remains now are the houses and the fun places humans and androids can enjoy together. Our homes were all within the same neighborhood and block, mainly for security but also by preference.

"I can't wait to see it all, my heart's in my stomach!" I bounced on the seat and Connor wrapped his arm around me with a smile.

The houses were built with the latest technology Cyberlife had, it was kind of ironic how the very entity that sought the annihilation and destruction of androids would be present in a nation that went against everything they were. But with the ways things were progressing with the country already it was certain CyberLife would be replaced.

"God you guys these houses, they're so beautiful. It's just like Alina's house, they're so prestine and poised..." Maria spoke with wonder in her eyes, she turned and reached toward Simon and wrapped her arms around his chest, I could see him smile from the rearview and return her embrace.
