5 - Meet My Mates

'Mate.' That word is starting to piss me off just a little bit. I feel like I have heard it more times than I can count in a short 24-hour period.

I looked around the room again once my initial shock dissipated. Indeed 5 more beautifully sculpted ambrosia like men are standing before me, all pairs of eyes shining a golden color like the sun, sparkling like a thousand diamonds in the dim lit room.

My heart begins to beat nervously. Lucian, who is still holding my waist, grips onto me a little tighter. I see the other men slowly start approaching me like a predator about to pounce on their prey. I couldn't help but look at each one more closely. I have seen a few pictures, but those pictures in textbooks and the Council gallery did not do these men justice.

My deities, these men were out of this world. My old neighbor Mrs. Jenkins would say that 'they are the best eye candy for a sore soul' and boy was she right.

Going from my left to right, there was King Alezander, King Octavius, King Tristian, King Atticus and then finally King Jupiter.

King Alezander was maybe 6'4'' or 5'', more of a slender build than the others. What people might have referred to as a basketball player type a few centuries ago. Muscular under that fitted tailored designer suit, but certainly not as bulky as the rest. Dark hair, almost black. Slicked back with gel. Golden shining eyes and a clean sharp cheekbone that could cut a steak. Perfectly pouty lips. He is the King that oversees Elders Haven, Elders Maven, Elders Green. These lands were part of what was once Western side of The United States of America and part of the country called Mexico. I am from Elders Haven. He is the King that I am most familiar with.

King Octavius was a bit more refined. Also well muscular, a bit more defined than Alezander but still on the slimmer side. Equally tall and strong. He wore sharp black rimmed square glasses that almost blended in with his clean-shaven face. A nice tailored blue suit was a sharp contrast to his unruly fire red hair, but it was hot. LilyWorth and OceanBlue were the most notable territories under King Octavius, also known as South America.

King Tristian, King of the Sandelwood Empire, the major territories being Sandbar, Saturn, and the Sabine Forest. It was once known as the continent of Africa. Sandbar was in the Sahara Desert and where the ball was held tonight. The Sabine Forest was once known as the Congo. Very rich dense forest, a mighty Werewolf population lives there. King Tristian, dirty blonde hair pulled back into a sleek man bun, also extremely tall and well built. Huge thigh muscles. Golden eyes, a light 5-o'clock shadow stubble on his face, a sharp pointed nose, soft pink lips. Could be a model.

King Atticus, King of New Europe which included all the land mass of United Kingdom, Europe, Eastern Europe, and Sadia Arabia. He was the second largest in bulk size. A true linebacker as my great grandpa would say. He was sun kissed tan with short brown hair, high cheekbones, and a well-groomed goatee. He was like a big intimidating teddy bear. He also wore a designer suit; a burgundy color and it suited him. Golden shining eyes just brought out the fangirl in me. He was certainly eye candy for the soul.

King Jupiter reminds me of this old Hollywood star known as "The Rock." He is super bulk, almost splitting his suit seams, looks like he could play offense for a rugby team. 6'7'' at least, brown mousy hair, a well-kept short beard that accentuates his cheekbones, same electrifying golden eyes. He was the King of New Asia. It encompassed lands once known as China, India, and Russia.

Then of course King Lucian which we have already met, kissed and are on a first name basis with because why not, right? He is King of the Everglow Realm. The three main territories under his rule are Evergleam, EverMeadow, and Edenworth. EverMeadow is like a haven or resort space for Supernatural creatures. It's exclusive and very difficult to get to. Lucians' lands were once known as Eastern United States, Canada, and Scandinavia.
