"That's a loaded question." Bruce smiled meekly at me, evidently lost in thought. My heart pounded in my ribcage, my worst fears coming to realization in my mind-- I finally came out to someone, and now Bruce was going to look at me differently.

"You know, just forget about it. Pretend I never asked." I ran a slightly shaky hand through my wavy strawberry-blonde hair.

"No, you have a right to be whoever you are, Beth," Uncle Bruce said sincerely, placing a hand on mine, which lay on the cold silver lab table. "If that is who you truly are, if you love both boys and girls, you will be accepted by the entire team. I love you, we all love you. It doesn't matter to me, it doesn't matter to Tony, or Clint, or Tasha, and I can guarantee you that Thor has no idea what being 'bisexual' even means," he chuckled "Your father--- he's from a different time. He's called the Man Out of Time for a reason. In the '40s, un-traditional relationships weren't exactly spoken about. Women weren't even respected much at that time, nevermind women who loved women. But during the war, there weren't really any women around for men to, uh.... Well, let's just say gay relationships weren't exactly unheard of among soldiers. It was a very unspoken act, though. Now, being thrust into this new world, Steve isn't entirely used to that topic being so openly spoken about and fought for. It's taken some getting used to for him. Being a vision of the American people, Steve tries to do what is best for its citizens. Some of those citizens just so happen to be LGBT members. It will take some getting used to for him to have his daughter be one of those members, no doubt. But I can guarantee you that Steve is an amazing man who loves you very much, and he will love you no matter what."

I wiped my eyes, my vision blurred by my tears. "Thank you, Uncle Bruce."

"Any time, Pumpkin. I'm here for you."

"Top floor please, JARVIS." I trilled from the center of the Avengers Tower elevator.

"Yes, Ms. Rogers." the British voice complied.

The steel elevator rocketed up, and I held the bar behind me with force. The elevator dinged and stopped.

"47th floor." JARVIS announced. I stepped out and onto the cool tiled floor.

"We just think it's time for you to move on." A female voice said softly. I hid behind the wall.

"Waiting for her isn't doing you or Bethany any good." Said a male voice. I stepped around the corner tentatively.

"What's going on?" I asked.

The Avengers were silent.

"We're setting your dad up on a date."
