THIS IS A PREVIOUSLY UPLOADED CHAPTER. Something stupid happened with my account and it ended up as its own story. sorrysorrysorry.
Okay, so maybe it wasn't the fire NATION, exactly. But it WAS the Human Torch.
"Johnny?" I swung my thin legs off the bed quickly, rushing over to the french doors that led to the patio.
The fireball flew down to the balcony, extinguishing as soon as his feet hit the ground.
"Hey Beth!"
I flung myself into his arms, not having seen him since the fight.
"Whoa, missed me, have you?" Johnny laughed.
"Well you never come over anymore..." I murmured.
"Yeah, Thor kept mixing your dad and I up. It got awkward." He chuckled.
I unwrapped myself from him, striding back over to my bed and sitting on the edge.
"I take it you're home alone?" Johnny asked, head craning a little to look out my bedroom door.
"Uhm, yes.." I said awkwardly, unsure of Johnny's intentions. I knew he was a great guy and a gentleman behind all the cockiness, but I also knew how much he hit on me and that he was a bit older than me.
"Good, because we need to talk." His face suddenly grew serious, and my heart froze.
"What happened to Dad?! Did he have an attack? Was he attacked? I need to go find him!" I jumped to my feet, only to be stopped by Johnny's long arms.
"Steve's fine." He assured, lowering his arms to his sides again.
"Then what's all this about?" I watched his face searchingly.
"I think I know where your mum is."
I pulled my Disneyland sweatshirt over my head, arms popping out awkwardly and hair mussing up as we made our way towards the elevator.
"So where are we going exactly?" I asked, pulling the bottom down over my hips.
"To the train. Peter will meet us there."
"Why are we all going?" The elevator dinged, the doors sliding open to reveal Uncle Tony.
"Are you two eloping?" He asked, lowering his glasses.
"Uhm, ew no." I laughed at the offended look on Johnny's face.
"You wish, Beth." Johnny teased.
"Hey, no judgement here. I always pictured you as a cougar though, Beth." Tony said, looking at the files in his hand.
"We're only 3 years apart." I scrunched my eyebrows.
"Oh, so you are eloping!" Tony smirked.
I groaned.
"So uh," Johnny watched Tony get out of the elevator, leaning slightly towards me "You are interested? I mean, I can see why..."
"Don't speak."
