Collins' head was spinning. He didn't know what happened to Lianna since she didn't go to work yesterday. And that night before.  .  . He was walking at the pavements heading home as he was dialing Lianna after she 'disappeared' out of thin air. He fainted. Luckily, someone saw him and took him to a hospital, his asthma reacted to his emotions. He didn't snatch his inhaler immediately as he was worried about Lianna.

He was overthinking ever since that night.

He went to work yesterday, she wasn't in the laboratory. He knows it has always been her favorite place. He was lonely that day.

Yes, he had friends, yes, he had his cheerful and lively co-workers. Yes. . . The studies have been fun and interesting, it was something they have been long theorizing about gravity. Again, it was fun and interesting.

But Lianna wasn't there. So he felt empty. He wasn't as cheerful as he was when Lianna is not there.

He hates it. And now he has to face that same day again.

"Sigh. When will this day get any better?" he scoffed at himself with both amusement and dismay. A girl then scurried her way past him. He recognized her. The hair. The clothes. The motion.

"Lianna!" he called at her. But she kept going. Okay, he's going to remember what outfit she had on: pink polo shirt and jeans, goggles and a bag? No, he set that aside. Anyways, back to his quest, he sprinted his way to the woman and saw her talking at Dr. Vishnu. He eavesdropped for a bit.

"Ah yes! I actually really want to leave this massive thing to you!" Dr. Vishu beamed. "Wait, really? But then, why would you stop the study?"

"It's because of the materials," he placed his hands on his back as his face twisted with grim. "We must not waste any more materials we have. We cannot afford to lose any more." he reasoned. Lianna listened with sympathy. The wise man went and touched the portal, "I also wanted to study more of this thing, like you do," he pointed out at Lia. She looked downcast. "But it's your turn. You should study this machine." he patted it. "Its in your hands now." Lianna gasped at the last words of the scientist. The sparkle in her eyes beamed in its glory. Collins lips curved up as he watched the young woman embrace the man.

She was excited, he definitely can tell.
Collins grinned and chuckled "Yes!" he whisper shouted. He then to the office. Lianna's back in business.

Lianna can't believe it. The portal, entrusted to her? She can't believe that! She brought out the tool kit and did everything she could to dismantle the portal.

Her co-workers, and Collins and Dr. Vishnu, watched her with awe, curiousity, and cringe.

Lianna removed everything the portal had. Though, the only thing she removed was its modernized armour that was added to it when it was discovered.

Collins offered his help but Lianna declined. "I can do this by myself! Don't worry!" she reassured as she struggled removing a metal plate that's been attached a bit too hard.

They brought her snacks and drinks whenever she did breaks. She was so sweaty, yet a smile was plastered on her face, with eyes of determination. When everyone was was out of sight, Lia brought out the Watch.

"I'm going to find your history. Your purpose." she looks up the portal, who's still rather not dismantled looking, "Let's see what I can find."

The day was tiring. Lianna wanted to lay on her bed already. Collins assisted her on her way home. They rode a taxi, but Collins ordered the driver to stop at the pavements, a river was on the other side, where Lianna's home is nearby. Collins wanted to talk out with Lianna, even though he knows she's tired, having a rough day.
