Lianna wiped the sweat on her forehead,"Whew! Quite swell to see we're making a progress, Col." she gleamed. Collins looked at her, and went to her eyes as her sight drifted to the portal, already dismantled 3/4 of it. His heart pounded as the seconds passed, yet his expression remained silent, just like how he feels for her. He was as calm as the trees, making subtle signs. He moved away his eyes from her, blood rushing up to his cheeks and sweat dripping from his face. His eyes wide as if he saw a ghost. "Y-yeah. You're right!" he awkwardly answered. Good thing Lia didn't notice his animation, he was quite good at hiding his feelings, but not as much in his body language.
Collins paused on his part to rest, like Lianna. They both sat at the same chair, and drank water at the same time, Collins' eyes were locked on her. And only for her. His eyes sparkled with emotion and adoration, his cheeks heated up by rushing blood, and his heat beat with all its own will. Lianna stopped drinking, and so did he. She looked for a towel, and wiped uo her sweat. Collins carefully mimicked every each of her actions, stil his eyes locked on her. Lianna stood up from her seat, and so did he. Lianna stretched, and so did he. Lianna went back to the work space and went on to dismantle the portal, and so did he.
It has been 3 days since they started the deconstruction of the portal, and today is the 4th day. He was happy that she was all normal again, like always. Endlessly smiling, having those light on her eyes, her smooth and silky hair, her rough and experienced yet delicate and gentle hands of a professional. He took in every detail he can get.
James looked at him with his face twisted in confusion. He tilted his torso and waved his hand in front of his face, Collins gasped back to reality. "Creepy staring, eh?" he scoffed with a somehow poker face. His face then twists into a smug one. Teasing Collins as they were there at the hallway. Collins pouted with annoyance and embarrassment. His cheeks were red.
"Oh well, see ya later, pal. I gotta go for my project." James enjoyed the teasing somehow, but good thing he left because he was in a hurry for his own project. Tick. Collins sighed in relief. "Well, I'm gonna make him shut up somehow soon." he closed his fist and vowed if James ever tell anyone of the event that just happened. "Anyways, back to the-- Huh?" he lifted his head to see a room with no head, just a portal, dismantled parts, and tools.
Lianna disappeared.
He went in the room, and saw someone in the corner, thank goodness she was there.
"Hey, Lia--nna...?"
That's it. He's got of it. She did disappear.
Collins got jumpy and worried by the time he realized this.
______________________________________Lianna was sent to the wormhole again. Clouds of purple and pink dust sprayed around her. Her mind was wandering to her surroundings, "What is it this time?" she sighed with annoyance. The teleportation thing got a little bit frequent lately.
So frequent it intervenes her life.
Even her own shower thoughts.
Lianna searched something in the portal. Just the usual, memories of seemingly historical yet non-existent people. A scene showed them fighting a red demon woman? She can't tell. It's all blurry and fuzzy. Then the woman of blue silky hair led her friends to something-- an arena?
She knew something as the watch showed her all of this. The Blue Woman was known as the The Witch, the red boy was a Fire Demon, the yellow girl in black dress is a Priestess, despite being a child. The orange-headed woman was a Shaman, the guy in suit was--how would she describe, a Rich Lone? -- based from his mannerisms. The woman of green scheme is someone she can almost call as a Fairy Queen. The woman of golden hair and sword was The Knight, the one with pale hair and dark clothes that she's always with is a knight but Archer. The 4 women who had red, blue, yellow and red violet color scheme were the Quadruplets. A woman of muscular build was a Martial Artist, her sister is a Merchant. And a new one-- a timid girl, almost of the priestess' age-- a Ninja.
Long throwback eh? It's actually the shortened version since there were so many things happening at once. Lianna can't comprehend it all at once. History is a wide and wild story of life. She shifted her sight, adjusted every inch of her body, just to try understand the memories. Her eyes landed on a certain memory -- The Memory Of The Portal.
She focused on the scene, she unconsciously stopped drifting aroud like a feather in the air. She watched the blurry figures build a machine, a circular one, a familiar one. It was the portal's original appearance. Lianna was stunned. Her mouth was suspended to speak.
The portal had a circular rim, and the inner rim was in a diamond shape. It had stairs, so people can climb onto it. It had 3 protruding triangles on its top and sides. In silver purple color, just like the 4 triangles of the structure. On the bottom right triangle was an open, empty socket. Lianna squeezed her eyes, a person put something into it, a familiar circular metal. Judging by the appearance of the portal, it seemed that it was made of strong, and durable metal. She doesn't know what it was though, probably it involves ancient magic, since when the time the portal was discovered, only its bottom right portion was present on the structure. She paused, there were debris and parts of it, scattered. The stairs, the design, the socket -- it was all new to her! The portal's appearance was simply a circular machine covered with metal plate adornments, its socket was covered. And now? It was in a dismantling process.
Lianna once again examined the memory. The figure removed its hood, the familiar woman of blue hair was on view. "She built it? But why?" Lianna can't help but voice out the very question from the back of her mind. It was all complicated. A conundrum. An enigma.
Just then, a force pulls her back. The memories were reversing as she swayed her head everywhere.
She was pulled back to reality.
