Collins and the gang were sitting by the campfire, telling stories of each other. Though, a young male of lilac hair and a bit of a formal clothing preferred silence. Collins heard foot steps of sand behind him, the Witch was back. "What took you so long? We told stories of each other and you missed the fun!" the Shaman girl lightly scolded her. Collins looked between her and the Witch. "Nothing. I just took care of some business." she proceeds to sit beside the red demon man. He, the Girl in Red clothes, and the Merchant girl were busy cooking their dinner.

Collins looked at his meal in hunger. Though he can't help but feel unease. "Where's Lianna?"

They all looked at him except for the Witch and the man in black vest. They were both cold, especially the woman.

Collins looked at them for answers, silence was what they gave him back. He sighed in deafeat.

"Dinners are ready!" the demon exclaimed after minutes of silence.

"Oh finally!" the shaman girl quickly grabbed a bowl and immediately poured the stew onto it. After her, the other followed, Collins being the last. He was worried for Lianna. Where is she?

After the loud slurping, and shouting, the Blue girl offered Collins a bed, though they didn't have any tents left for him. Collins accepted it. He set up his bed and everybody went to sleep. Collins was grunting and kept turning on his sleeping position. He felt uncomfortable knowing Lianna isn't here. Footsteps on sand are heard, Collins' heart immediately raced as he stood up. Only for him to look at a tumbleweed passing by. Although there are real footprints on the sand. He stood up and followed them.

The footprints led to a river, and at the edge of the river, he saw the demon and the priestess child talking. He stopped mid-step. He can't interfere with someone talking to another. No, he can't. They must be discussing something important. He decided to go back instead.

While walking, Collins looked at the bright diamons in the sky. It reminded him of the time he and Lianna were walking that night, when he carried her... He felt heat rushing up to his face. But he kept himself cool. He also remembered the time he was trying to count all the stars in the sky when he was a kid. He chuckled at himself. What was he thinking? Well of course he can't blame himself since he was a child. He remembered the good ol' days of his childhood, he had good parents and supportive siblings. His relatives were all there. He was rich. He had everything anyone could ask for. Toys, parents, support and love, complete childhood. But he always felt as if he was left behind by his friends. Yes, he was happy but not as happy as them. He had priorities and obligations to do. He sighed deeply, the cool breeze brushed at his hair.

Then he met Lianna at college. She was the eccentric girl with weird interests yet great ambitions. He liked her for it. Though she had a crush on someone else, he had almost given up! Til she learned he was a scumbag, heh. He still can't forget his feeling of victory, it was the best. Until they had to separate due to graduation. But time still push them together as they met again in the Laboratory! It was... 3 years after he applied himself? He can't remember that much now ever since all these events have happened. He was also in the Laboratory in his teenage years, so maybe that's why he can't remember.

Then comes the Portal. It changed Lianna. And then the Watch. Lianna started acting strangely because of it. At first he didn't believe her. Until she proved him wrong. And all this, was all insanity.

And now she's gone, no clue where she went. He hates this feeling,

The feeling of being left behind by his friends...

The feeling of being left behind by Lianna...

He had everything, but he still felt empty. Even now that he's with Lianna, he felt distance from her. The actual Lianna was different from Lianna in his head.

That was too much.

Little did he know that he stopped walking. He was staring at a cactus.

"Hey! Wat'cha doin' there, pal?" the Demon called him out. The child was beside him with a look of suspicion towards Collins.

"Oh uh, nothing! Just here to get some fresh air." he awkwardly snickered.

"Well okay. Good reason." the child snarked, poker faced. Collins returned the expression.

"Well go to sleep now, fella. You might not wanna miss a complete sleep. You too, [REDACTED]. You should sleep too."

"I know!" The child immediately went to her tent and slept. For some reason, their names aren't clearly said. Collins don't know why they're obscuring it whenever they say it. A possible effect of the watch?

"Well, g'night." Collins said.

"Night too, bud."

Collins layed down on his bed. Finally he's tired so now he can sleep. He hopes Lianna can be here by tomorrow. He missed her. Sure these people are swell, but it's still different when yiu interact with someone you're familiar with. Especially that this place is full of magic. What is magic anyway? Why does it not exist in their time?

Lianna was floating aimlessly in the wormhole. But she noticed something, this tunnel seems to lead to something different. The violet and purple clouds of magic--which was its usual color--is changing to red.the magic too was kind of sharp for some reason.

Beyond the tunnel was darkness, not light. This one is unusual and Lianna is suspicious of it. As she drifted closer to it, the stench of blood reeked, screams of terror, anger and fear. The portal was tainted by bloodstains. She knew something would go wrong since she felt strong presence of bloodlust and magic when she stepped in. Yet she didn't think it would be this unpleasant. As she went closer, the screams became faint, though she covered her nose for how the blood reeked.

Darkness dispersed and yet it made the woman close her eyes. She was in a crouching position as she landed. She slowly raised her head and opened her eyes.

What she saw was something no one should.

The Siren rose from the dark seas. Her eyes glimmered at the darkness.

A/n: " if you noticed, names of these "historical" figure have been redacted, ive also reduced them calling each other at the maximum level. And when it is in narration, they are often called by their occupation or appearance or titles like: "The witch", "Red demon", "red demoness" (dont confuse these two please, the red demon is male and is an ally, while the red demoness... Well itll be explained later in the story), "Child priestess" etc.

They have their own names, if youve read chapter 8 and 9 before i edited it, you know it then. But if you didnt, then good. If youve read it but cant remember the name, then better.

I redacted their names since they actually exist in their own story, the only reason i added them here cuz i was too lazy creating new characters, plus their story theme is quite medieval, so it kinda suits the historical fiction of Dyschronometria.

If i became a comic artist, i may make them as my comic series (prolly the largest one, even in my head they are still the largest one i made. Tho its incomplete and there are many missing parts and questionable things to it.)

If i did become one, (just a what if), im gonna need ta decide whether DCM or dyschronometria will be canon to them or not. "

A large wave crashed into the siren, and darkness devoured the surroundings. Lightning lightened the now empty space where the siren appeared , thunder and the waves are the only things fo be heard by the storm.
