CHAPTER 17 - Black And Hollow

It all went blank. A black void... Lianna searched for a light, for something -- just anything that will give her hope.

She waited and waited until she felt numb. It was no use. Waiting won't get her somewhere. She has to move, she stood up from her seat and went an aimless path. Where was she going? Is this the end? Will this be her final moments? Lost in an empty void? She was scared. It was chilling walking in the void. She slowly became paranoid as she heard her own footsteps and heartbeat. She was hyperventilating,

"H... hello...?" she called out, her voice simply echoed.

"A-anybody...?" she called, louder.

No one will answer you...

She searched for her bag for a blanket, it was getting really chilly there. But then she remembered she threw it at the demoness. Cuss that bitch. She looked at the watch instead,

"Where are you taking me?! Why are you so quiet now?! Why am I not in a memory and instead, I'm here in an empty void?!! Answer me!!" she snapped at the watch, agitated. She then noticed that she was holding it backwards, the clock wasn't facing her.

What an idiot.

She looked at the clock and was shocked to see it.

There was a large gash crossing the circle's glass from one side to the other. It was of a slanted position. Is this why it wasn't working this properly?

The first time she opened the watch, it was a beauty. Completely and oddly clean of scratches. But now? A large wound cuts the glint of the watch's glass.

Ah yes, this is what she needed. An endless and empty void, the Red Demoness terrorizing her mind and the watch not working properly
She huffed in a half-laugh, turning into cackles later on. "You're driving me nuts," she muttered.

"Then let me help you." a voice offered gently, an eerily familiar voice. "And what good will it lead? Nothing!" Lianna snarled, but she wasn't facing the figure of the voice. Lianna kept her head up and her eyes closed, her brows were in a troubled furrow. The figure kept speaking to her, offering his help, but she pointedly ignored his words.

He soon shut up. He realized it was no use. Lianna's brows eased up a bit, but she twitched and was tempted to look at the person behind her, the person who followed her,

She gave him a dirty look behind his back as he walked ahead of her. Lianna, chagrined, decided to follow him. He may know where the exit is.

He might be her hope to escape.

After walking what felt like eternity, a light shone from afar. Lianna tried to run there but Collins stopped her. "What are you doing? There's the exit! Right there!" she even pointed to the light just to show him, she knows he can see it but can't tell whether he's gotten blind or just messing with her. Lianna was grabbing Collins' other arm that stopped her, they also stopped to their tracks."Why?" she narrowed her eyes, "Can't let me run there huh?" she challenged. Then the next second, she dashed at her left to avoid him, going towards the light. She laughed in victory as she passed him, Lianna looked behind her, Collins was still there, standing. But she took a second look of him and stopped. Dead at her tracks. This is probably taken somewhere from a horror story, or an arc of a story for that matter. This is straight up horror for Lianna. She regretted looking at Collins.

His eyes were pitch-black. Hollow as if a soulless creature. His pose was also stiff, and his face? Not really pleasant. It was like this is not him...no wait. This is not him. This isn't the real Collins. No wonder he paused and stopped her real quick.

What happened when they were separated?

Then she immediately glanced at the light toward her, it was moving away, literally. Confusion and trouble crossed her face. She was lost, Lianna turned back at Collins--

He striked her unconscious.

Lianna fell down to the ground and took one more glance at Collins,

"Who... are... you...?"

He only answered her a smirk,

Then it all went black.
