I don't understand
how even after
I like the same things you do
I dress the same way you do
I act the same way you do
I listen to the same music you do
because you wanted a clone
and I wanted acceptance
or someone to look up to
but you knew how easy it was to shape me
you knew how easy it was to gain my trust
but you didn't care
you used the words I shared to brag;
to show off
but really,
do they know you
as well as they say they do?
do they know the real person
hiding behind your "tough shell"
or do they say it
because they're like me too.
