OCTOBER

God, it was really hot in here. There was way too much body heat swarming in the air for me to breathe normally. Strobe lights, grinding, hook ups, underage drinking, weed, loud music, and a bunch of strangers. It was exactly how every college party had gone so far. It sounds like I'm complaining but I'm really not, this is just the way I like it. See no one really cares if I'm still a senior in high school and no one really wonders why I'm here. People ask and by the time I answer, they stop caring. I'm here to have fun, not explain my high school status. It's the end of October and it's Halloween night. At this time, kids are out competing to get the most candy but I've grown out of that. Halloween is my favorite holiday. It's just so much fun being someone you're not for a night and trying to figure out what others are. it's hectic. Ghosts, goblins, and ghouls are such a fantasy but believing in it for a night is exciting. I can go on and on about how mysterious things fascinate me and how I'm intrigued by things that aren't what they seem but, someone was pulling on my arm. My drink sloshes out from the brim of my cup and lands on my foot when I'm jerked to the left unexpectedly. But I don't get time to argue because I'm already pulled away from the crowd of people I was previously standing in. God, what the hell? I try to squirm away but the hand's grip only got tighter around my bicep. It kind of pinched every time I struggled so I stopped and let myself get dragged along. Once we stopped, I led my eyes up the arm that had plucked me from my place. Oh.. I sighed when I realized it was only Bonnie.

"Oh my god Bonnie. I completely freaked and thought I was getting kidnapped out in the open." I grabbed my arm firmly from where her hand was and rubbed it softly.

Bonnie laughed and put her hand against her mouth, "I'm sorry. That was a bit harsh but it's way too loud over there so there was no way you would've heard me."

That was a fair point. I could barely hear her now, even while she's screaming her lungs out. "It's okay!" I yelled right back at her, "what did you want to say? Are we leaving?!" Bonnie was my ride here and she was gonna be my ride home.

"No no, not yet. Come with me!" She said excitedly and grabbed my hand. This time, I went willingly and let her take me to wherever we were going. This frat house is probably so freaking huge. There were so many people in it but yet there was still so much open room.  I took a quick glance at the dark atmosphere to admire my surroundings and chugged my cup of vodka down before it could fly across my dress. Nothing much was visible, it was dark as night in the house and I'm pretty surprised Bonnie hasn't run us into anything yet.  I struggled to keep up with Bonnie's pace because she was practically running. She finally came to an abrupt halt and I got thrown against her.

"SORRY!!" I yelled loudly and then couldn't help but laugh loudly. Her face when I ran into her was priceless, I laugh at the most absurd things. Or maybe it's because I'm just a little over the edge from the vodka I just forced down my throat two minutes ago. I took a look around and the music was getting softer. It wasn't as harsh as it was before, it felt like someone had dialed the volume down a bit. I didn't even notice the distance I put between me and where I was before until Bonnie had brought us to a complete stop.. Where are we?

"Bonnie what are you doing?" I was a bit puzzled but I giggled while staring right at her. She was so spontaneous sometimes.

"See that room over there? I have a surprise waiting for you in it." She responded enthusiastically and pointed in the direction of a large wooden door that was only a couple of feet away. I stared at it in confusion and shook my head.

"I don't believe you. Come on Bonnie, lets just get back." I said with a smile and turned around to head back in the direction we had just come from. Bonnie then put her arm out right in front of me before I could take a step forward.
