I pushed my finger against the bruise on my neck and winced. It hurt a lot. I decided not to touch it anymore. I was disappointed. I had just got done explaining what the first one was from, and now this one was fresh. I sat back down on my bed and ran my fingers through my hair. What is happening. I wanted to shut down. The door to my bathroom swung open and out came a half naked man that went by the name, Damon. He was shirtless but wearing jeans.
He gave me a huge smirk before saying, "morning sunshine."
I looked at him and shock and looked around in my room, half expecting Xavier to show up too. "What are you doing here?"
"Have you forgotten already?" He asked.
My heart dropped to my stomach. So it was true. It did happen. "We-we had sex?"
"Mhmm." He then sat down on the bed beside me.
"But Xavier!" I became frantic. I was with him! Then I was with Damon. He was there the entire time? He saw everything? He didn't stop her! Why didn't she stop herself from screwing Damon? What had gotten into her?! Why did she just do that?
"It's okay. He's home now." He said calmly.
"He's never gonna wanna see me again."
"He doesn't remember anything other than you guys making out." He leaned back on his arms.
My eyes lowered down to his muscular body. He had chiseled abs and a broad chest. "How come?" I asked in a whisper.
"I made him forget. Like I made you forget all the time we spent together."
"What?"
"Elena.. you don't remember much because I didn't want you to. Like I said, I wanted it to be professional. No strings attached. That's why you couldn't remember anything about me other than the small details. You were itching to know more that's why you were picking up on the smallest things unconsciously. That boy was just your clone of me."
I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. "You sound absolutely crazy."
"I'm not. You know the second half is true. You're curious. I didn't wish you were but now I'm glad you were." He picked his hand up and grabbed a strand of my loose hair. He began twirling it around his finger.
I didn't nudge him away. I simply just stared at him. "How did I forget?"
Just then I heard the front door squeak open. I shot up instantly.
"Shit shit. Come here." I grabbed him by the hand and shoved him in my closet. "Stay here until I come back. My mom can't know you're here. Stay. Please." I wanted to know more. I needed to know the answer to my question.
I hurried downstairs, not looking back to see if he left. I went to the kitchen and tried to act as normal as possible. "Hey mom."
"Hi." She said in a clipped tone.
I quickly filled up a glass of water and turned to head back. "Good night."
"It's only eight."
"I'm tired." I muttered and then bolted upstairs again. I was half expecting him to have disappeared but surprisingly, he was where I left him. "Tell me."
He sighed and walked out of the closet. "It's a long story."
"I have time."
"I won't ever see you again if I tell you."
"That's why you won't? It's not your right to restrict what I should and shouldn't know. It's selfish." I took a sip of my water.
"Elena.."
