I woke up around 7:30am for school. I was definitely going to be late. I brushed my teeth in a hurry and threw my hair up in a ponytail. I made my way to my closet while tightening my hair one last time. I then grabbed the closest sweatshirt there was and threw it on, along with some black leggings.
"Jeremy you ready?" I hollered through my open door.
"Yep." He answered back.
Crap. With a sigh I put on some sneakers and stuffed anything I would need for school in my bag. I was out the door in no time with Jeremy following close behind me.
"I have a club meeting after school so I won't need a ride home."
I revved up the car and headed towards school. "You have a ride home?"
"One of my buddies can probably just do it."
"Alright." I pulled into the school parking lot just in time and headed inside to get the day started.

I sat down in front of Caroline and Bonnie, at our usual table, with my sack of lunch as soon as twelve o'clock rolled in."Hey sweet thing." Caroline muttered while chewing on a bite of apple.
"Hi." I said with a laugh, and pulled out my spinach wrap, "So.. how was the rest of the night with.."
"Ross."
"Right. Rest of the night with Ross go?"
"Decent. After bowling I gave him a hug and we went our separate ways."
"Wow." Bonnie exclaimed.
Caroline's answer was almost immediate, "what do you mean, 'wow'"?
"Wow as in I'm surprised you've stepped it down a little. No offense."
Caroline rolled her eyes dramatically, "some taken. I like him and I want it to go somewhere."
I raised my eyebrows in complete shock.
"At least until prom. Jesus."
I couldn't help but laugh. "Alright miss romantic. Coincidentally I was gonna ask you guys if you wanted to come over today. I've got no plans for later tonight, and Jeremy is off doing something after school, while my parents are working late. I'll be home alone so I'd like some company."
"Ooo.. booze?" Caroline's interest was seeping through her pores.
"Caroline," I said with a nervous chuckle, "my parents could be home at any time."
"Okay. Fine. I'm down." She said as she finished the last bit of her apple.
"Yeah me too." Bonnie nodded.
"If you'd like you can bring along Ross. I'll see if Xavier is available."
"Awesome I'm left as the third wheel." Bonnie gave me a big thumbs up.
"Get it right. You'll be a fifth." This time, we all laughed.

I decided that I needed to look a little more presentable than I did at school. As soon as I got home, a nice shower helped and so did cute clothes. I threw on some dark washed jeans, a blue silk tank top, and wedges. I really popped in blue. I did up my face as well and as I was putting on my final coats of mascara, the doorbell rang. I set my brush down and ran down the stairs in sheer excitement. Sure enough, it was Caroline and Ross.
"Hi! Long time no see." I gave Ross a quick hug before they stepped inside. "Uhm.. make yourselves at home I'll try to conjure up some food."
They were all smiles as Caroline lead him to the living room. As for me, I went straight to the kitchen. I wasn't expecting them for like an hour. I rummaged through the pantry anyway and found some tortilla chips. I found a ceramic bowl and filled it to the top. I poured in some salsa and nacho cheese into two other ones.
