2 weeks had past since the gala and Sophia made sure that I was comfortable and clean, clean as in she made sure I wasn't cutting myself, I genuinely made effort to stop and her method of making sure I wasn't tempted to do it again help me tremendously and after a week I honestly gave it up entirely, I didn't do it all the time before hand and I tried my best to not let myself get hooked and it worked and I couldn't have been more proud of myself and I knew she was proud of me to. Summertime crept up quickly and before I knew it the candied evening sunsets and the bountiful beach trips became more common in my life, Sophia made sure that my summer was gonna be fun and she did a amazing job of starting it off for me, my birthday was also creeping up on me quickly as well and that would be the birthday I was turning 15, I was actually excited for my birthday as i would be spending it with people who cared about me rather then just spending it with myself and the lonesome benches of LA. The days leading up to my birthday Sophia was just making me feel as special as I could feel and it felt reliving and fresh. The morning of my birthday arrived and the moment I woke up I was happy and ready for anything, I popped my Ear buds in and put on the song Summer by Calvin Harris, the lyrics echoed in my head as I waltz down the stairs, Sophia noticed me and started smiling.

"There's my birthday girl." Sophia said giving me a hug from behind, I felt her rest her hands on my stomach and it made me feel comforted feeling her warmth.

"I know I'm the big 15 today." I said still slightly swaying to the music.

"Nothing's gonna stop you today alright, today is your day." Sophia said taking me by the shoulders.

"Nothings stopping me today." I repeated after her.

"Good girl, now eat your breakfast." Sophia said still smiling, I sit down at the table and I eat her delicious waffles and fruit she made me.

The morning and afternoon passed in a orderly fashion and as the day progressed my happiness wouldn't shake no matter what thoughts protruded into my head, Sophia took me for a drive to the beach and that beach was one that was desolate and pristine and clean, she said that it was the beach she discovered when she first moved to LA and that it was the only beach she goes to, she gifted me with a really cute black bathing suit before we left and as I  walked down down the shore line I never felt so alive, Sophia took my hand and pointed out certain types of sea birds I pointed out certain seashells, we stayed out till the sun started to set and when we left she took me for ice cream, god that ice cream hit different that day.

"You ready to home now." Sophia asked me as we made our way to the car. Her demeanor puzzled me as she seemed very secretive and almost excited for something, it made me wonder is she had something in store.

"Yeah I'm ready." I said enjoying my ice cream. She had also given me this gorgeous flowy floral sun dress as my birthday dress. The way it blew in the wind made me feel invincible. We made our way home and when we made our way to the front door sophia suddenly stopped me from going inside.

"Now Diana I forgot some stuff from the car, could you maybe pop the trunk and grab a few bags out from there, they're not heavy or anything so you should be fine." She said unlocked the front door.

"Alright." I said walking to the car, I saw Sophia excitedly go into the house which made me laugh a little, I walked into the house and the lights suddenly flicked on and people jumped out from all angles, they suddenness of everything sent this fear shooting up my spine so my reaction was to just scream, i dropped everything I was holding and I whipped around and buried my face in Sophia's chest as I clung onto her for dear life.

"Oh no no no Diana it's ok, did that scare you?" Sophia asked me slightly laughing as she rubbed my back.

"Yeah.." I said quietly.
