I opened my eyes to see the blur of the face of my mother leaning over me. I got up only to fall back down because of the pounding migraine I got once I got up. "It's probably better for you to stay down." My mother said, grabbing a wet towel and laying it on my forehead, "I should have said that sooner."
"You think?" I snapped, and regretted it instantly. "Sorry."
She smiled, "It's fine, I understand why you're so upset."
"Do you?" I asked honestly.
My mother only nodded her head. "There's something you should know."
Dead instantly filled my chest, "What is it?"
Her breath shuddered as she took a breath in, "Your brother..." She had to stop, her voice cracking with emotion, "Your brother was taken to the dungeons."
"Why?"
"The king says that he interfered with the duel, it's an act penalized by death." I watched as she turned to hide the tears falling down her face.
I got up and gently placed a hand on her shoulder, "Mom, what happened?"
She turned to me with pure anguish in her eyes, "He's going to execute him in front of the whole court."
"When?"
"When the clock strikes twelve."
"When?"
"In half an hour from now."
"Where is he?"
"He's in the dungeons, but you should change first." June said, motioning to my bloodied dress. As I went to get a change of clothes, she gripped me by my shoulders and looked me in the eyes, "I won't tell you that it's no use, because I know you and I know that you can save your brother. You would do anything to keep him with you." She pulled me into a rib crushing hug, whispering in my ear, "You do everything in your power to get him back to us safely, I know you might hate me, but I know what he means to me and to you."
She pulled back to look at me and cradled my head in her hands, "It was the hardest thing I did was leave you, to make you think I left out of my own free will, but I didn't. When I get the chance, I will tell you about it. All of it."
"Your dagger, and weapons are next to the fresh pair of clothes I've laid out for you. Sander's punishment will be held in the throne room, once you leave this room, you turn to your right and keep going straight, until you see the tapestry of the Great Beginning, the tapestry is a portrait of the Fall of the Titans, you'll know it when you see it."
"But once you see that tapestry, You turn right until you see the great big double doors, that have a picture of a phoenix on it, that is the door to the throne room, through those doors, I can help you no longer, once you go in there is no going back. Do you understand?"
"Yes."
🗡🛡🗡
After I've changed into the black dragon leather armor, my mother no doubt left out did I go out to find the throne room.
It took me about ten minutes to find the tapestry. It was set up into sections that melded into each other. The top of the tapestry was of an ancient looking guard holding a crown similar to the one on my mothers head, it looked like it was made out of pure darkness. The crown was held over the head of someone kneeling, his dark, shoulder length hair swept over his face, hiding all of his features.
The second part of the tapestry was the creation of another regal looking figure, her face facing away from the painter, her hair as bright as the light of the stars. Her skin pale, which was completely bare, with very little color other than the slight flush she had on her body during the creation of this tapestry.
The third section was of the two figures standing by each other, and placing their hands out as they created the world that I now stood on. Then it hit me, they were the Titans.
I looked to the fourth section seeing the creation of the supernaturals. The male shadow figure standing over half of the supernatural created; Vampires, Were wolves, Demons, Basilisk, Phantoms and Dark Fae.
The female's white figure stood over the other half of the supernaturals; Faries, Phoenix,Light fay, Sorcerers, Luck witches and the Baraccuda - dragon sworn to the good.
The fifth section was of the birth of the gods. There were four in total, one was son and a set of triplets. The male and female figures ad their hands on the shoulders of the son and the triplets were all kneeling in front of the parents and son, all were smiling but the son, who was emotionless.
The son had black hair, electric blue eyes and pale skin. He kinda reminded me of Hades, God of the underworld. The triplets all had different features, the first one - the one on the far left - had light skin, down eyes and blonde eyes. The second one, in the middle - had tan skin, black hair and gold eyes. The last on - the one on the far right - had olive skin, electric blue eyes and green eyes.
The sixth section was of when the eldest god, the son, rebelled against the rule of his parents. Going to the brotherhood of the minor gods, swearing to them the downfall of the titans, if they would let them in.
The seventh section was of the battle between the God's brotherhood and the titans army. The gods hair blown into his face as he watched the battle below him, the bodies of spread for miles and miles. And by his feet the bloody bodies of his parents with his sisters clutching the bodies of their parents.
The last section of the tapestry was of his coronation. His fathers people crown atop his brow as every one bowed below him.
The sound of guards interrupted me and snapped me back to my task.
