It took me out enough but I found the doors that lead to the throne room. Obsidian doors with a Phoenix carved into it.
I slipped into the room and gods it made me nauseous to see how many people were here. Swallowing my nausea I pushed my self to the third row back, picking a spot so that I could see the trial.
Looking around the room I noticed the guards all had the same emblem on their armor that Drayco had on his the first time I meet him. Did he give up? I brushed the thought away.
You should know better by now Adds, Sabers voice entered my mind, followed by the point of a knife picking my side just below my rib cage.
I hated how my lungs stopped when he gripped my shoulder and how my heart sped up as his lips touched my ears his lips touched the shell of my ear when he whispered, "I will never give up."
Saber
These my of her blood was intoxicating - scratch that - everything about her was intoxicating, her scent, her fight, her fear, everything. I hated it. Hated her.
"So you're saying that you won the duel?" She asked, turning her head slightly so she could look at me from the corner of her eye.
"When you asked your brother to help you I won by default."
She scoffed, "Uh uh."
"It's true." I said, the doors opened and I lifted my head to look a smile slowly stretching over my face, "Oh look, it's starting."

I watched as my brother was dragged into the throne room, drowning in chains. I felt when my wings started to show themselves, it felt like a small tingle down my wings. How Drayco got around them is a wonder, but he is still holding on to me despite my wings.
"You know, you just gave away your position correct?" He asked, tightening his grip on me to keep me still as I tried to struggle against him to get to my brother. I looked around and noticed that all the guards that were around the room were now coming my way.
"Oh, don't worry about them. They'll see me eventually." He said, adjusting the grip of his blade, digging it slightly more into my side. I hissed out a breath as I felt it dig the side of my armor into my side.
My brother had been set on his knees in front of the throne. When the doors opened, the guards that were headed my way got back to their stations with the speed of lightning. Saber backed away from me, but stayed close. I stayed still as the announcer named Ceaser and my mothers names.
June's hand on the kings arm as they walked in together. She didn't give any reaction of seeing Sander kneeling down in front of the throne in chains other than the throb of pain and anger that went down our bond.
Everyone fell to their knees as they passed, so when they passed I had but no choice to kneel if I didn't want to get noticed. I lifted my head to look at Sander, I tried to send something down our bond, but he blocked me from sending anything down the bond.
Once they were seated on their thrones, King Ceaser nodded his head signaling that we could stand up. I slowly rose, never taking my eyes off of the king.
Saber came closer to me. My wings still on full display, the feathers restyling in irritation. My hand slowly went down to my thing and my fingers traced the hilt of the blade.
"I'm going to have to bring you up there with him." Saber said, grabbing my arm. I ripped it out of his grip.
"I can walk on my own, I don't need a babysitter to walk me." I hissed, turning my head to glare at him.
"Too bad," He replied, grabbing my arm again and dragging me to where my brother was.He forced me down into a kneeling position, "Your majesty's, I've found her sneaking into the room. No doubt to help rescue her brother."
I couldn't help it, I laughed. "You're assuming a whole lot right now." I challenged.
Ceaser looked down at me, and asked, "Pray tell, what are we assuming?"
I looked back at him making sure that my mental walls were as thick as ever, "I came here to testify on my brothers behalf." I replied.
Ceaser nodded his head and looked over the crowd before landing his gaze back on me, "I will allow you to testify on your brothers behalf."
I bowed my head in thanks before I explained, "My brother didn't interfere with the duel on his own accord, I made him do it." I continued on before anyone could ask any questions, "My voice can sometimes, on and off....control people, like a sirens. I don't know, so don't ask me why. But when I asked my brother to help with Saber. It slipped into my voice, the compelling part of it anyway...." I trailed off, not really sure how to continue.
"So why all the weapons?" The king asked. I looked down at myself then shrugged, "Occupational hazard."
"And what is that occupational hazard?" He questioned.
I thought about saying, you, but I decided against it. "Everyone in this room is an occupational hazard, for me anyway."
A flash of anger was shown in his eyes, and I knew he caught the hidden meaning. Ceaser leaned back into his throne, watching me cautiously. "I think we should continue with the trial, dear." My mother interrupted, Ceaser looked over to her. I looked over to Sander and tapped my thigh twice.
He nodded in understanding and we both looked up to the throne before Ceaser turned back to us. "We thank you for your testimony, it will be taken into consideration." He stood up with our mother on his arm "We will go and determine his punishment."
They walked down and went to a room beside the thrones. I relaxed, letting my power flow gently to the chains holding my brother and let it fill the locks. I felt the locks click silently, unlocking them. They still were held together, I made sure of that.
When they came back into the room, me and my brother straightened up. The king faced the room and told the verdict, "The council has come to a decision."
He looked down at us and smirked, "Death."
