Erin and her best friend of thirteen years were out shopping for her wedding dress. She had gone to at least forty stores to look for one, but they just didn't speak to her.
"Erin, maybe we should try again tomorrow.." Cali said, her back and feet aching from all the walking.
"No, we'll find it, I swear." Erin muttered, her mind in a different place as she scanned through every clothing rack.
"Hi, is there something I could help you ladies with?" A soft voice asked from behind, making the two girls turn to face the woman.
"Oh, yeah. This girl can't pick out a wedding dress for the life of her." Cali laughed.
The woman smirked. "Well, judging by your outfit, I think we have the perfect dress for you, darling."
"We can check it out–"
"Yes! Please, let's see it!" Cali interrupted, desperate to get going.
The woman led the girls to the back of the store to another section that they hadn't gotten to yet. "So, let me know if this isn't what you're looking for but...." She said, pulling it out of a rack.
Erin and Cali both gasped, smiles growing on their lips.
"Yes." The two said in unison.
"She'll be trying this one on." Cali grinned.
"Great! If you need any adjustments, let me know. Most people don't buy these bad boys right off the rack, anyway." The woman said, handing Erin the beautiful satin dress.
"Thank you so much." Cali told the woman as Erin walked towards the changing room.
The woman smiled. "Of course, anything to see a happy soon-to-be bride."
Cali nodded and looked over at the door as Erin exited the small changing room, wearing the silky white dress that tugged at the perfect places on her body.
"I love it." Erin, Cali, and the woman helping them said together, almost laughing afterwards.
Erin finally got a dress for her wedding.
