"Shine bright like a diamond,"

"Omgosh that's y/n and Midoriya from the sports festival,"

"No way, I was totally rooting for her til she got disqualified,"

"They're so impressive!"

Me and Izuku were walking to class together. A few days had passed since the sports festival and my date with katsuki, and the dynamic of our class and the school had changed slightly since then.

"You did so good fighting those robots in the festival, I'll support you from now on!" Some random girl says to me cheerfully before rushing off.

"We'll that was something," I say too tired to appropriately react to the words of encouragement. Me and Midoriya continue to walk through the halls to our class. Once we reach our room we are bombard by Iida too early in the morning.

"Good morning, Midoriya! Y/n!"

"I feel like I was an afterthought," I say to myself.

"Uh... So, Iida. Um...,"

"If it's about my brother, don't be concerned. I'm sorry if I made you worry. Everything'll be fine." Iida said with a shadow crossing over his face and a now cold expression replacing the previous one.

Midoriya had filled me in on the walk to school about what happened to Iida's brother after an incident with the hero killer. If it were anyone else, I'd be worried that Iida would do something stupid. But it's the level headed, in the box thinker, Iida we're talking about, so we've got nothing to worry about.

As we walk in to the classroom the topic shifts into a much lighter one, "It's so weird that people recognize us from TV."

"I know right, everyone wanted to talk to me on my way here," Denki said joining the conversation. "Yeah, me, too!"

"People on the street were staring at me! It was kind of embarrassing," Hagakure mentioned.

I stopped paying attention to the conversation as I sat down in my usual seat and started to doze off.

I'm poked awake by Toko as it looks like class is about to start, "The old lady went a little overboard in her treatment. Anyway. We have a big class today on Hero Informatics."

The whole class groaned.

"You need codenames. Time to pick your hero identities."

Right on cue the whole class was back in high spirits, "This is gonna be totally awesome!"

"Shh."

"This is related to the pro hero draft picks that I mentioned the last time we were in class together. Normally, students don't have to worry about the draft yet. Not until their second year. or third year actually, but your class is different. In fact, by extending offers to first-years like you, pros are essentially investing in your potential. Any offers can be rescinded if their interest in you dies down before graduation, though," Aizawa sensei explained.

"Now. Here are the totals for those of you who got offers. In past years, it's been more spread out. But there's a pretty big gap this time." Aizawa said finally getting to the fun part.

"Gah! That's no fair. What about the real star? Moi?" Aoyama said looking at his offers.

"Todoroki got the most, ahead of Bakugo?"

"Yeah, it's the opposite of how they placed in the festival."

"They probably weren't excited about working with the guy who had to be chained up at the end."
